WEEK 1
Well! That was some tea party, huh? You've finally seen the faces (or perhaps the singular is more proper here?) of your captors. A pair of creepy twins seem to fit the overall theme of the Castle at least. Why not have Twiddle Dee and Twiddle Dum, after all?
Regardless, it doesn't seem that they're changing their minds any time soon. The first floor of the Castle is still open up to you. The Audience Hall is still locked most of the time so perhaps you can meet the Alices there if you need to. There are plenty of things to occupy your time before the inevitable slow erosion of your memories. If this is a game, who will make the first move? You or the twins?
Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday | Friday | Saturday
((OOC: Welcome to peace week! There will be no case this week so just have fun and explore. If you want to investigate please put Investigation in your top level. Don't forget to put threads in for regains or go to the Audience Hall to meet the Alices.
Also, if you want to keep up to date on things we now have a discord server!))

early evening
[Mizuki is tucking Nigel's head under her arm like a football and stomping over to the main table.]
Not wearing a skirt is one thing, that's your decision! But I'm not letting you give yourself osteoporosis and scurvy! If it's together as co-investigators, WE are having some REAL food.
[Reaching the table and sitting down (releasing the boy), she's picking out some grilled fish.]
See, like Shingetsu-kun! Hi, Shingetsu-kun.

I'm not giving myself anything - this place obviously doesn't conform to the laws of reality!! Why shouldn't WE eat whatever WE want?! [rubbing his neck as he is released and sitting, he clears his throat as if none of that happened.]
Hello Nagisa.
[Look what I have to put up with!!]

Okiura-san, Uno-kun.
[ He gives a polite nod of greeting, but then gives Nigel a pointed look. ]
She's right, you know. Regardless of our current situation, it's important to maintain a balanced diet. Without the proper nutrients, you won't be at your best either physically or mentally.

[That continues her usual approach to Nigel - taking him seriously as much as there's a serious answer. Agreeing more directly with Nagisa:]
We definitely need to refuel one way or another. He and I found a lot of stuff earlier in the bedrooms that were supposed to be unused. Pretty complicated. If the "current situation" keeps lasting this amount of time, we might have to gather things to show everyone.

[He speaks very slowly and seriously as he says that, as though spelling it out since apparently she doesn't understand. Still, it should go without saying that eating candy is what kids do and murder is not. This isn't HARD.]
We did find some disturbing and unusual things in the room searches. Things the other kids need to know, like how serious those two are about killing and punishment. I was already thinking of calling a meeting tomorrow, but I'd like to come up with a plan to get us organized as well.
[If such a thing can be accomplished with a bunch of non-operatives, anyway... that's not really the type of kid he's used to leading.]

I agree that a meeting would probably be a good idea, both for the sake of sharing information and building trust in one another.
[ Frowns a little at that description, though... ]
What kinds of things did you find, exactly? And what sort of organization did you have in mind? Something like your... sectors, was it?

This whole time, I thought it was so weird that these criminals didn't do anything else to show us how cruel they could be. More like just an intimacy-seeking stalker. But the truth is more twisted than I could have ever imagined.
[She takes out Kirika's portrait.]
There are more kids like us. [Rolling eyes at Nigel.] Or teens. Like Kure-san here. They have rooms that we unlocked by putting on their respective outfits. Everywhere looked so lived-in, really hard to fake. And if what was written there is true, they were forced through the stupid "game" for months.

It's really bad, too. A kid got blamed for a teenager who died on accident.
[he's a little messed up about it!]
That's why keeping an eye on each other will be doubly important. I do think our Sectors would be a good model. 21 of us, divided into groups of five and six... if they can report each other's movements to their leader, and their leaders to two of us who keep track of it all, I think that would give us some freedom to breathe while keeping everyone accountable. What do you think?
[There's definite nervousness as he asks that because this is typically NOT his job.]

[ He guesses that explains that part about putting on a skirt, at least.
He seems markedly less shocked than either of them by the horrors of the information they're relaying, though he's definitely not happy to hear it. At the mention of the outcome of that apparent accidental death case, he scoffs bitterly. ]
That sounds typical, though. Pinning the blame on a child is a reliable easy way out to some.
[ As far as that plan, he seems to think it over for a few moments. ]
Hm... that might not be a bad idea. While you might have a person willing to lie to cover for another, it's much less likely that all four in a group would do the same, given our lack of a shared history together.
[ Holding up a finger ]
I think it might be better to frame it more as looking out for the people in our respective groups rather than holding them accountable, though. The latter seems like it might breed resentment if they see the leaders as unfairly infringing on their privacy rather than trying to keep them safe.

[Expects a tightass like Nagisa to have located the laundry room already. As for children getting blamed... Laughs hollowly inside through tears. That dark cloud needs the entire course of Nagisa's comments to dissipate fully.]
Though those weirdos Natsuo and Youji do know each other. Ugh. Do you think they'll fight when separated, or be be hard to believe in the same sector...?
[SIGH.]
But I think it's a good idea. Like, if sometime wants to sleep in, that should be up to them and one person they trust to check, not all twenty of the others freaking out. We are gonna have to see how many people actually wanna do it though. Heck, would there even be a fourth person who wants to lead a sector? I think Yuniko-chan would be good at it, but...
no subject
I haven't spoken with them yet, but from what I've seen, I'd wager they'd rather be in the same one. Maybe just make sure they're in one of the six-person groups so they don't have too disproportionate an influence.
[ So the uneven number worked out pretty well, really. Though with that said, he hadn't yet considered who a fourth leader would be. ]
Kouzuki-san... I guess I wouldn't have any specific objections to that. Was there something making you doubt your choice, though?
no subject
[He hasn't talked to her a lot but she was like the only one who took his simulation theory seriously so it's fine by him.]
