[The little owl looks up at Sonic when the pets begin, leaning into it a bit. Eyes closed, trying to take in the comfort while he can.
When it's said, that another human is gone, his eyes open wide for a moment, before closing again, leaning even more into the gloved hand.
Some tears are starting to form in his eyes.]
I...think he understands.
[Dylan steps closer, joining in on the petting.]
