Well, stars are pretty big, even when they're small. So for us seeing one of them explode, it'd definitely be big enough to take out a building, even this school, at least.

As for weapons, it depends on the cultures. Some island cultures had things like shark tooth clubs, while cultures near volcanic activity can have things like knives made out of obsidian!
