WEEK 1

Well! That was some tea party, huh? You've finally seen the faces (or perhaps the singular is more proper here?) of your captors. A pair of creepy twins seem to fit the overall theme of the Castle at least. Why not have Twiddle Dee and Twiddle Dum, after all?

Regardless, it doesn't seem that they're changing their minds any time soon. The first floor of the Castle is still open up to you. The Audience Hall is still locked most of the time so perhaps you can meet the Alices there if you need to. There are plenty of things to occupy your time before the inevitable slow erosion of your memories. If this is a game, who will make the first move? You or the twins?

[Neku almost didn't expect to wake back up here. But wake up he does- and while the Alices (and Nigel) might have mocked him for it, as one of the oldest here, a teenager, he has to look out for all these younger kids. Which means figuring out a way to escape.]

[Media Room/Bedrooms/Portraits]

[Neku isn't very interested in the movies- he heads right for the board games... and starts digging around for score paper and pencils. Once he finds what he's looking for he goes back to the bedrooms, counting how many there are- he's right, there WERE more than there were kids. And some of them are locked.

He eventually ends up at the gallery again, eyeing the paintings]

Why would there be just the right amount of space for these... but extra rooms? Are there people missing?

[Foyer]

[Later in the day he can be found on the Foyer... looking at that clock. Eventually, he can be seen dragging over a bench to stand on to get a better look at it. Is the face open? Could he fiddle with the time if he tried...?]

Bedrooms

[He was just planning on carrying these books back to his room but. Hi there, Neku.]

-Missing?

[He only caught the tail end of that.]

Hey. And yeah... there's a bunch of empty locked rooms. Maybe Alice and Calice planned to snatch more kids?

[Looking up and down the hall at the rooms...]

They're empty?

[Hmm.]

They're locked- so maybe there IS something in there. But I don't wanna think 'oh hey there are probably more kids stuck in there'.

So yeah, let's say they're empty.

[Looking upwards in thought.]

When I was in the Dream, I usually had to solve a puzzle to unlock doors... Mm, but this isn't part of that.

They come off like the types to play that kinda game though. We could just kick them down though...

Doesn't that count as damage to the castle?

... yeah. And those kids already don't like me. So maybe I shouldn't test them yet.

[Glancing over at his own room before...]

If you want, I can put these in my room and help you look around.

If you're busy don't worry about me. But if you're bored I guess I wouldn't mind the company.

I should probably do something besides read today.

[Smiling a little wryly. He knows he can get caught up in books.]

Just a minute.

[He'll hurry to his room to deposit the books before coming out again to rejoin Neku.]

[So, now where to wander so to not counter the later timeline, hm? Neku goes for the media room, which he hasn't really looked at yet]

You know, I always expected castles to be... bigger.

[The face of the clock is closed but if he takes a few moments he probably could jiggle the glass out. As for whether he can mess with time...

Is he watching the large window in the foyer?]

[scratchitti]

[He starts working on the glass- carefully since he doesn't want to break it and risk punishment by Alice -chan and -nyan. But it's hard to NOT notice the strange moving scene at the window...]

[The coastal scene has been at dusk since everyone's arrived. The question now is: does he move the hands forward or backwards?]

[ Forward, wondering if it will chime the hour if he turns it far enough]

[whimsicalism]

[It doesn't. However, the tide on that coastal scene is now at high tide.]

[scratchitti]

...whoa. Cool. Weird, but cool.

[He tries turning it back again]

[whimsicalism]

[It does! If he goes to back to roughly the same time it was before it goes back to the sort of mid point between low and high the scene was at before.

He might notice that it hadn't changed tides since he got here, either. ]

... huh.

[He wasn't paying that much attention at the time, but he has a damn good memory: has the time changed on the clock at all since they've been here?]

[whimsicalism]

[It has! As the Rules say it keeps accurate time. It even seems to be moving a bit faster to make up for the lost time from Neku messing with it.

...this doesn't make sense but when your master mind is called Alice, things can be, well, a bit mad.]

[He frowns at it- crazy frickin clock. He starts rolling the time forward again, a few hours this time.

...then hops down to trot over to the Garden, peeking out to see if the time of day has changed there.]

[whimsicalism]

[It's still sunny as always but, as he probably guessed, the shadows have moved slightly as if it's finally later in the afternoon.]

[Okay THAT'S exciting. And I am so sorry to anyone that did/does a topper in the Garden today because he jogs back and rolls it like, six hours to see if he can get to night]
