Well! That was some tea party, huh? You've finally seen the faces (or perhaps the singular is more proper here?) of your captors. A pair of creepy twins seem to fit the overall theme of the Castle at least. Why not have Twiddle Dee and Twiddle Dum, after all?

Regardless, it doesn't seem that they're changing their minds any time soon. The first floor of the Castle is still open up to you. The Audience Hall is still locked most of the time so perhaps you can meet the Alices there if you need to. There are plenty of things to occupy your time before the inevitable slow erosion of your memories. If this is a game, who will make the first move? You or the twins?

[Well, this is an orderly room! Not too orderly for a kid, of course, but someone who seemed to at least tried to put things away.

Some drawings are taped on the walls, some colored pencils are on the desk on a thick notepad. An inhaler is next to it.

A portrait in a picture frame is nearby on the desk as well. The window is of a large abandoned mansion near the coast.]

[ Well, he is... all about being studious... Case in point, he's reading over that information a few times to commit it to memory in case any of it ends up being particularly relevant.

Though, hm, actually, let's take those colored pencils and page through the notepad. ]

[It looks like someone's drawing book! Mostly just buildings, a playground scene with a smudge over the slide, and many pictures of a girl about the age of twelve. They seem to be the only drawings of a single person in the notebook, the rest are just landscapes, buildings or crowds of people in the scene.

The pencils are all worn down and if he compares them to the broken one? They're probably from the same brand.]

[ Makes sense. With that many drawings of the same girl, this seems kind of personal, so he'll refrain from using it as a notebook.

Unless there's something interesting about the inhaler, he'll just make note of that for what it is and move on to check out the drawings on the wall! ]

[They're all areas from the castle. A few are ones he'll recognize: the dining hall, the garden, and the view out the foyer window. Others don't seem to fit. A Japanese festival scene with many colorful booths, a hall of differing sized doors, a distant view of what looks like a blizzard. ]

[ Hm. Are those just random scenes mixed in, or are they places that used to be here, he wonders? He's not sure where the blizzard could figure in, but maybe the other places could have been beyond those stairs to nowhere...

Is the view of the abandoned mansion outside the window a realistic one, not like a piece of art or anything? ]

[Sadly, I can't answer those questions quite yet.

Sort of realistic. There were a few sketches of the mansion in the book as well (that I forgot to say) so it does seem like this person knew this place.]

[ Good to know the personalized window scenery seems to be a constant.

All right, anything else worth noting in here for the time being? Or in the bathroom if he takes a quick look in there? ]
