Well! That was some tea party, huh? You've finally seen the faces (or perhaps the singular is more proper here?) of your captors. A pair of creepy twins seem to fit the overall theme of the Castle at least. Why not have Twiddle Dee and Twiddle Dum, after all?

Regardless, it doesn't seem that they're changing their minds any time soon. The first floor of the Castle is still open up to you. The Audience Hall is still locked most of the time so perhaps you can meet the Alices there if you need to. There are plenty of things to occupy your time before the inevitable slow erosion of your memories. If this is a game, who will make the first move? You or the twins?

[It was growing harder and harder for Seven to sleep and wake up. This time he had awoken before midnight before going back to sleep until afternoon.

Something had kept on eating away at him as he arranged the seven drawings of his family in a heptagon in front of him.

...He was clearly trying not to cry.]

[Amdi is happily trotting down the library aisles with a book in each of his mouths when one of him spots Seven, and then all of him stop at once. He looks back and forth at himself, uncertain, but then three of him pad softly toward Seven, with their long necks bowed and small ears drooped.]

[He's seen Jefri crying about his parents and sister often enough. He knows the look.]

Seven? ... Are you okay?

A- Ah, you're... [He knew the dogs.] I just... I've been worrying.

I'm sorry to just dump this on you all of a sudden, but... [He took one of the drawings and showed it to Amdi.] What if doing this won't work? What I forgot I even drew it or worse, it disappears...?

[There's always a loophole... but the Queen also has her ways...]

Forget—? ... Oh. [Right. Alice's note. The memory stealing. He's been... trying not to think about it.]

[Amdi fidgets a little and several of him look away.]

Do you... do you think it's really possible? For them to make us forget things?

Anything can be possible. This is a magic castle after all. [He gathered his drawings and folded them up.] I'm going to keep these in a place only I can find them...

Oh... right. [Several of him droop dejectedly, but a couple also nod.] Y...yeah, that's probably a good idea...

... Um... who are they?

My family. They're the most important people in my life. Even if I can't keep my memories of them, I'm going to keep who they are with me. [He had... a glimmer of hope in his eyes? When he said it out loud, it felt much better for him.]

[Amdi listens thoughtfully, then cocks a couple of heads, thinking.]

Um... maybe you could write down everything you remember, and then keep that safe with the drawings?

That's true, but... there are so many memories I don't know what to pick... [He sighed, tapping the table.] Hm...

[Several of Amdi nod, a little sadly.]

Yeah... that sounds hard.

... [fidget] Um... maybe you could tell me a little about them, in case you forget? I've never, um... I've never had any family, its sounds... nice.

Of course! [He kind of. unscrewed his head and put it on the ground so he'd be at eye level with them.]

Did... did no one tell you I could do this? [That seems to be a running theme with every person that knows him in passing without. getting to know him.]

No!! [Ok he's less panicky now because obviously Seven is not hurt but still!!!]

Uh... well, no they can't, and I'm not a human.

But... but... you walk on two legs and you have a flat face and not a lot of fur!!

[Yes Amdi that definitely checks all the boxes good job.]

But I am in fact just a monster. Those criteria would mean my brothers Two and Five wouldn't be monsters... And a hairless monkey would be a human then!

What?? No! You shouldn't call yourself a 'monster', you're nice!

N-No, literally, I am. My siblings are also literal monsters... It's not perjorative in the slightest I tell you!

Really? So... a "monster" is just a different kind of person? Of, uh... [what was that word Ravna used?]... of "sophont"?

[Amdi does certainly seem to buy that, but he's still looking around at himself and cocking his heads in mild confusion.]
