Well! That was some tea party, huh? You've finally seen the faces (or perhaps the singular is more proper here?) of your captors. A pair of creepy twins seem to fit the overall theme of the Castle at least. Why not have Twiddle Dee and Twiddle Dum, after all?

Regardless, it doesn't seem that they're changing their minds any time soon. The first floor of the Castle is still open up to you. The Audience Hall is still locked most of the time so perhaps you can meet the Alices there if you need to. There are plenty of things to occupy your time before the inevitable slow erosion of your memories. If this is a game, who will make the first move? You or the twins?

Oh, my servants will not be punished for this. I was taking care of some business outside the Empire when I was taken, and in any case, I can defend myself perfectly well. It's other things I'm not really used to.

I myself don't believe I'd have any political enemies who'd wish me this kind of harm. No, whatever I've done, it's not something one would normally be kidnapped over.

Have you been thinking about how we may have ended up here?

Oh, I imagine so, yes.

My world is connected to many others though gates that the royal families of my empire and the neighboring kingdom have power over, so I would imagine it would be something like that. I don’t know if what the Queen and the Cat are using works differently, though. It probably does.

Really? How fascinating! One world is hard enough to watch over and keep safe. You must be very busy.

But this is nothing like yours, right? I keep hoping I'll meet someone who knows a little more than I do about these circumstances but they've done a very good job keeping them obfuscated.

Well, it's not really about keeping them safe. We mostly get the help of Heroes from other worlds in order to help deal with things in our world.

...I did think this might be part of the realm of nightmares. We'd been dealing with an invasion from them before I woke up here, so that's what I thought might've been the explanation at first.
