Well! That was some tea party, huh? You've finally seen the faces (or perhaps the singular is more proper here?) of your captors. A pair of creepy twins seem to fit the overall theme of the Castle at least. Why not have Twiddle Dee and Twiddle Dum, after all?

Regardless, it doesn't seem that they're changing their minds any time soon. The first floor of the Castle is still open up to you. The Audience Hall is still locked most of the time so perhaps you can meet the Alices there if you need to. There are plenty of things to occupy your time before the inevitable slow erosion of your memories. If this is a game, who will make the first move? You or the twins?

It wasn't October, that's for sure. [ She pauses. ] I guess I figured this was, like, some kind of atemporal plane, but I guess not.

Agreed... Though they have been speaking about the game in terms of weeks, with named days. Anyway, if it was going to have a calendar, it would make sense for it to use the one most of us are familiar with, since the Alices presumably used the same one in their world.

Hopefully they were telling the truth about things staying as they were when we were brought here instead of progressing without us.

[ Which seems fairly likely since there's almost no way they were all pulled here from the same time anyway. ]

Yeah — hopefully. I mean, if we did just disappear, at least one of us has friends who'd figure it out, right? Veronica seems pretty up on the whole... worlds thing.
