Week 2 Post-Trial

[ The trial itself may have been pretty straightforward, but with how high emotional tensions were running afterward, there's probably no one feeling like organizing any kind of gathering right now.

So, go do your thing until a new week starts, and write down those memories you don't want to forget. ]

If they were afraid of approaching him he would understand fully.

But right now, he just... needs time to reflect on himself. In the Garden, he's trying to make flower crowns despite the Halloween decor probably meaning they might be all wilted anyway... Maybe leaf crowns?]

Media Room

[That was a bad time for Franziska.

She's back in the Media Room, lying curled up in the couch with a bottle of orange soda on the ground next to her and watching Moana in all its VHS low quality glory.

It's a movie she's never heard of and she doesn't know how it was made but for now she needs to just not think and not remember, and sugar and Disney movies is probably the best she's got at the moment.

[Allen returns to his room.

His door is open, however, and he's writing busily away in his notebook.]

[ Knocking lightly on the door... ]

How are you doing?

[ Don't trust them, Lena. They'd turn on you in an instant if they knew what you really are.

Lena goes to Room 1, where she digs through Cori's stuff until she finds the recipes. She sits on her bed, copying the instructions for Choral Cream Puffs into a journal that's a bit fancier than their bog standard notebooks. While she doesn't actively look up at any fellow visitors, she clearly knows they're around. Her tone of voice, as she addresses them, is about the same as usual. ]

So are you here to break more stuff that belonged to a dead person, orrrrr...?

[ Lena... Lena you're raiding a dead person's room..........

She retreats to her room afterwards, and doesn't emerge for hours. Way later in the night, however, she heads to the media room. Horror movies are something she's taking a hard pass on after the execution. You'd think witchcraft would be a genre she'd avoid for similar reasons! HOWEVER... ]

[Shockingly, Dark Dream turns up here and sits next to her.]

[Without saying anything she moves directly over to lying with her head in Dark Dream's lap, still watching the movie.]

[Gavroche is somewhere in the library. You may have to look for him among the aisles, but it shouldn't be hard to tell he's here at least. He can be heard clearly:]

Can it be you fear to die?
Will the world remember us when we fall?
Would it be our deaths mean nothing at all?
Is this game just one more lie?

[Eventually, he can be found in the reading area with a book. He recognized the title, at least, which is more than he can say for a lot of the books in the library. He's half reading it, half just staring down at it.]

[Oh. Oh, okay, this is happening. She isn't complaining or anything, but she's not sure what to do in response. Set a hand on her shoulder? That seems reasonable.]

[She watches the movie in silence for a long while before finally speaking.]

[Dark Dream, she hasn't even turned around to see it's you, she's probably not accusing you of wrecking the mystery room.]

This is making her feel something unfamiliar that she doesn't like. Her heart hurts.]

[With all the shock of the sleepover, Mizuki has decided that she needs an outfit change: Dark purple corduroy shorts over navy blue leggings, and a layered shirt with stylized sunset stripes. It's not enough. She's sitting at the fancy vanity in this gilded cage, bathroom door and suite door both open. The incredibly plain ponytail holder is on the counter as she brushes her hair.]

[After all of that, you know what Mizuki actually eventually is? Hungry. So she's in the dining hall and... was busy with her useless leaderplay back when this Halloween stuff first showed up. Now she's scooping out a pumpkin to put a paper bowl for candy in it. Maybe the front will have an eye shape. Who knows. But. Hm. Considering Cori and everything:]

[She pushes herself up and turn away from the tv enough to throw her arms around Dark Dream's neck and lay her head against her shoulder.]

I'm sorry. I should be better. I will be. I promise I'll stop this, I... I won't stop unless they kill me too.

None of this is how any of this should be, nothing works and nothing's right. It's not a game, why is anyone talking about playing by the rules?

[He finishes his thought before he looks over at Nagisa.]

[ Lena looks up, and Lena looks tired. She waves the hand that isn't currently holding a gel pen. ]

[The only way it could be more out of nowhere is if Mizuki couldn't hear his giant footsteps in the castle hallway but as it is she's at least not liTERALLY like WHERE DID HE COME FROM but she is truly not prepared for these questions of cartoon, campy morality]

I... feel like I shouldn't have done all that. It made me feel better for a while, but... I must have scared quite a few of the group. I shouldn't be so violent. I need to keep myself in check because what if I- What if- if I- I...

[Neku seems to avoid everyone tonight- yet also is not in his room. Maybe it's the ever-shifting but utterly empty cityscape in his 'window' getting to him. Maybe he still wants to be able to hear and see everyone. But all night he peeks in on all the public rooms.

When not doing that though you can find him lounging int he roots of the tree clock in the foyer with his music blaring, phones around his neck so he doesn't blow his ears out and can hear people coming.]

Mayhaps. But how would I even be able to tell her what even went on while I was missing? [He wanted to laugh but he was already feeling intense regret from his breakdown, no matter who found it justifiable or not.]
