WEEK 3

All three deaths last were tragic in their own ways. Was trust so fragile in that castle that a simple misunderstanding could end in blood? It seemed to be the case. The trial proved that without a doubt. Surely no one else would make that mistake again. As another week begins the tea cup elevator has granted access to a new area. Maybe the new amusements of a festival will ease your wounded hearts?

This is mine, so leave it out of your repurposing technological things, alright? I don't even know how the process goes but I'd like my cellphone in one piece, and in its original state...

It's yours!? [He blinks.] ....In my defense, I had this for a while, I didn't think anyone was gonna claim it by this point.

[But given his desire to have it in one piece, he thinks better of telling him he was using it earlier to taunt a land shark in the foyer. Or showing him the blueprint for whatever weaponized monstrosity he was going to make out of it - it's useless anyway now, so he'll just crumple it in a ball.]

It's a pity, but I've no reason to keep it from you.

It's alright, it's not like it had my name written on it either.

[ He'll blame the Alices for that, since Nigel didn't tell him about LAND SHARK ESCAPADES, god... ]

Well, I'm grateful you didn't fight me over it, so I'll remember that.

...What is 2x4 technology supposed to be, anyway?

[battlestations]

Sure, sure. It's not like that was the only idea I had up my sleeve, I'll just make do here.

[When he asks the question, Nigel picks up the S.C.A.M.P.P. leaning against the desk on the floor.]

2x4 Technology refers to any of the inventions made by the Kids Next Door. A lot of them use 2x4 planks [pointing at the wood on the bottom of the gun] but not all of them. They can be weapons, gadgets, or vehicles like our aircraft and super robots... A 2x4 Tech Officer can make those out of just about anything. That isn't my role on the team, but I still know a few basics of their construction.

[ He'll glance at the thing Nigel just picked up... ]

Mm, it's useful to have people in an organization that's inventive AND resourceful.

Say, why was Kids Next Door created, anyway?

[battlestations]

That's right. Most of what I can make is more defense-grid related... speaking of, it wouldn't be a good idea to try breaking in when this isn't open.

[Does Nigel really have a defense system that he takes down and puts up every time he uses the door, or is he joking? Who knows. He's not telling his secrets.]

Why? Because kids everywhere are terrorized by evil adults and it takes many hands to stop them.

I don't really know how to pick door locks or anything, so it's fine.

[ ...that probably wasn't the point... ]

Mm, that's true. Though I think this is the first time I've heard of an organization to fight against evil adults.

Were you the one who originally started it, then?

[battlestations]

Not by a long shot. It's a super huge organization of kids all over the globe. I started off as a recruit and later on became the leader of sector V... If I had any experience as a supreme leader, my approach to the sectors here would probably have been different. The moon base has a much larger team of operatives, after all.
