WEEK 4

Even as the castle--is it even right to consider as a 'castle'?--continues to grow more accessible more of the group is whittled away. Even your own memories fade as the Alices continue their 'game'. As the new nautically themed area opens new residents of the castle seem to have appeared. A family of living dolls has moved themselves into the dining hall while a lovesick apple tree familiar from Friday seems to have taken root in the garden. Along with the graveyard in floor three the Alices seem to want you to remember your fallen friends in some very... different ways.

Maybe the upcoming holiday will distract the Alices from moving their game along? Only time will tell.

[For the most part, Allen keeps his head low today, spending time with Nagisa until the evening when he goes to bed.

Or seems to, anyway.

Late, late, late at night - surely well after midnight - he carefully opens his door a crack and peers out. And then, quietly, he'll make his way into rooms 1, 3, 14, 16, 17, 21, and 23.

Sure would suck if anyone else happened to be up at this hour and found him, huh?]

[octopups]

[That sure would suck! Except... those eight little black-and-white forms sitting down near the end of the hall on the right don't seem to be much bothered by Allen sneaking about.]

[They're just laying very still, heads on paws, staring into rooms 16 and 17.]

[Oh. Uhhh this poses a problem.

Still! If the dogs are so focused on the doors, he'll just... try to slip around them as he gets to all the doors other than those two. In the cases of 1, 14, and 21 he turns the nameplates so he can reenter, although he's back out again after a bit to return it to the name of the most recent resident.

Any doggo reactions during all this?]

[octopups]

[None that are obvious to Allen, although he is listening quite closely.]

[Once it's down to the final two rooms, he'll... go walk up to the dogs and crouch down next to them.]

Do you just... sleep out here now?

[His voice is quiet.]

[octopups]

[Amdi's voice is quiet too.] Nah. I couldn't sleep, so I came out here.

[A pause]

You forgot Ib.

[He looks over at it, tucking his head down a little.]

I wasn't... sure if there was anything important in there.

She died so early...

That's true...

[He lifts a couple of heads, staring more intently into rooms 16 and 17. Simultaneously, of course, because Tines can do that.]

Do you... think they're together, wherever they are?

[xxxx_me]

[There's a pause before he gives a little nod.]

Yeah. I'm sure they are.

[octopups]

That's good.

[A longer pause]

They were always so... weird. And then, after that first trial, they... they scared me. But... but they were always together. They were important to each other.

[xxxx_me]

...Yeah. They probably just wanted to get out, too. Together.

[octopups]

[He lays his heads back down again.]

I guess we all do.

... Oh, um... [He scoots a couple of himself out of the way of the doors.] You can go in, if you want. You're looking for clues and stuff, right?

Just give him a second, Cheshire Cat (Dream ver) jump scared him a few times and he's still bad with those.]

[ He'll smile and tilt his head slightly. ]

In retrospect, shouldn't it be stranger you're still awake?

[He's actually confused there.]

Oh, the fact that people can apparently use their powers now. Remember what we saw on earlier today?

[He shakes his head.]
