WEEK 4

Even as the castle--is it even right to consider as a 'castle'?--continues to grow more accessible more of the group is whittled away. Even your own memories fade as the Alices continue their 'game'. As the new nautically themed area opens new residents of the castle seem to have appeared. A family of living dolls has moved themselves into the dining hall while a lovesick apple tree familiar from Friday seems to have taken root in the garden. Along with the graveyard in floor three the Alices seem to want you to remember your fallen friends in some very... different ways.

Maybe the upcoming holiday will distract the Alices from moving their game along? Only time will tell.

MEETING

[As someone who isn't in charge of a sector but is incredibly close to a leader of a sector, he decides he should be the one to organize it this time... A big task, no doubt, but still he places posters regarding the meeting in places that people could probably see. Including on every door in the bedroom suite.

After lunchtime, The Good Ship Unicorn is the meeting place today. Impractical, but hey, the rowboats can help burn off those calories!

Everyone takes their place upon the main deck and from there, the meeting starts.]

Aaaand that should be all of us! [He sat crisscross in front of the group with his leaders and sectormates at his side.] A new area open, a new motive, new phenomena, and yet more people worthlessly dying on Monday because they think "Hm! Maybe the Cat DOESN'T have powers that are equal to or above ours!"

Needless to say, STOP TRYING TO KILL THE QUEEN AND/OR CAT! Because no matter how much we send at once, no matter WHO tries to kill her with WHAT powers, she will kill us first. I'm not afraid of any other monster, but that thing... [he referred to the Jabberwock] It scares me...

Of course, I don't expect that me saying it will stop anyone in the future, but my second point. The wish-granting, I've actually seen it tempt others this time. But... You ever heard of what genies do? They twist your wishes in the cruelest of ways. Don't fall for what the Cat tells you.
I know that when another murder happens, it will be yet another cause unrelated to the wish...
But food for thought...

Speaking of cats, the tRaGiC deaths of Natsuo and Youji Sagan has revealed to us that anyone with powers has their powers back... Goodness help us, do we have to explain how much this complicates things this week?

Mm... The Cat's keeping secrets from Queen Alice, even though she shouldn't be able to. We think the Cat's killing us and using our souls to heal Queen Alice. But Queen Alice says if that's what's happening, she might not be able to stop the Cat...

[...He could only nod in response. The hardest thing about this whole game was seeing that the queen had lost her will to do it but the Servant keeps it going. There was nothing they could do about it.]

But there were already dozens of people killed in the last game! That's insane!

Ah... That sounds pretty much like what we were thinking, doesn't it? Is she not able to stop it because her own strength depends on the Cat, or...?

[ It seems like she should be able to order her to stop by virtue of her being the master and the Cat being her servant, but he also knows enough about lying garbage servants not to trust it to work that way.

It seems that when it gets close to Halloween here, there's a weakening of the barriers between life and death, and reality and dreams... and between this castle and the rest of the world outside it, though I wouldn't recommend testing that by trying to escape.

The ghosts you might have seen around the graveyard in the new area are apparently actually monsters that got in from outside the castle, because the barrier is weakened right now. They're likely to speak to you and try to scare you, by the way, and they're not confined to that one floor, so... please be aware of all of that.

This may also explain why those who have supernatural abilities are able to use them again, in which case that's likely also temporary.

It all sounds like something they would do, though. Didn't they try to have that stupid Halloween party a while back? And who's going to get scared by cardboard monsters, exactly?

So I'm sure you all saw me go in to talk to Alice after her offer. No point hiding it at this point.

I tried to press and see the limits of her power but... she didn't really seem to know herself- it's all the Cat. I can say she looked... really freaked out by the idea of someone actually talking about going through with it, even hypothetically.

... also I think if someone invited her out to do stuff with us sometimes she'd probably really like it.

It seems there was finally enough evidence to see what happened in the library, even though the scene was uncovered several weeks ago. Two people murdered in the same night...cousins, I believe, if the timeline is anything to go by, and the first murder of the previous round.

I have the belongings I found; I'd be happy to leave them with whoever would like to look into it further.

[Also there was literally just a chainsaw in the digsite so like? Have fun with that one.]

Um, I've been experiencing some weird mindsound attenuation ever since I got here, but it went away on Monday, so... I guess being able to spread out a lot sort of counted as a power?

Well I don't have any powers per se, but... I suppose I DID get a weird burst of inspiration this week...

[what the inspiration was for is very clear because he is sitting on a FAT STACK of random guns and gadgets. You might have also seen him pulling these out of his pocket one by one. Apparently, the real power he got back is Rule Of Funny.]
