WEEK 4

Even as the castle--is it even right to consider as a 'castle'?--continues to grow more accessible more of the group is whittled away. Even your own memories fade as the Alices continue their 'game'. As the new nautically themed area opens new residents of the castle seem to have appeared. A family of living dolls has moved themselves into the dining hall while a lovesick apple tree familiar from Friday seems to have taken root in the garden. Along with the graveyard in floor three the Alices seem to want you to remember your fallen friends in some very... different ways.

Maybe the upcoming holiday will distract the Alices from moving their game along? Only time will tell.

Sunday | Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday

[Welcome to Week 4! Don't forget to submit your memory losses and your weekly AC here. The Alices can be found in their audience hall. As always, don't forget to turn in threads forfabulous prizes.]

Oh, then that makes perfect sense.

[...Oriko does a little double-take. Certainly she must have misheard some of that.]

I'm sorry, his what?

His airplane! He built one!

[Yeah c'mon Oriko don't lots of humans know how to build airplanes out of stuff they find lying around? Humans have so many super cool inventions this must be totally normal.]

He brought it to the meeting yesterday with all the other new gadgets he built, but it was all in a big pile so you might not have seen it.

[Her expression certainly suggests that it is a little more abnormal than Amdi himself might believe.]

The reappearance of everyone's abilities was a bit of a distraction. I should have paid better attention to the inventions he brought.

Was it...fun?

[That just means Nigel must be extra cool!!]

It was SO FUN! I got to ride in Peregrine's agrav flyer once and it was like that but even better! [Several of him are just zoomie-ing around her excitedly now.]

It was pretty easy too!! Once you get a hang of how the control surfaces affect your vector, it's real simple to plan out your path through the volume!

[Speaking of things totally normal people can do right out of the gate.]

I see... [After allowing her head to turn to follow the parts of him that are zooming around a couple of times, Oriko stops trying to follow the movement and smiles at one of the still bodies instead.]

Flight requires a significant amount of calculations, it seems - but once you have the formulas, the most difficult work is already taken care of.

Well, I don't really do it with a lot of actual numbers, it's more about using, um... [He stops zooming and cocks a couple heads, trying to remember that phrase Ravna used.]

"Geometrical intuition"?

Oh, my, so you're a natural talent, then! I know a lot of students who'd like to have your aptitude for numbers.

[She has to wonder if it has to do with there being so very many of him, able to experience things in more dimensions than the average singular human.]

Is it like that with all navigation for you?

Ehe... [He fidgets a little uncomfortably] Um, sort-of natural, I guess. I was assembled that way.

But, um, probably? I've never really been more than a few miles from my home before, so I dunno.
