WEEK 4

[whimsicalism]

Even as the castle--is it even right to consider as a 'castle'?--continues to grow more accessible more of the group is whittled away. Even your own memories fade as the Alices continue their 'game'. As the new nautically themed area opens new residents of the castle seem to have appeared. A family of living dolls has moved themselves into the dining hall while a lovesick apple tree familiar from Friday seems to have taken root in the garden. Along with the graveyard in floor three the Alices seem to want you to remember your fallen friends in some very... different ways.

Maybe the upcoming holiday will distract the Alices from moving their game along? Only time will tell.

I see... [Oriko picks up the gift and turns it over in her hands.] But I'm afraid I have nothing to offer you in return. I feel that it would be rude not to exchange something, wouldn't it?

[twinverses]

[She giggles.] You don't have to. Just say you didn't know.

[prescience]

[Oriko frowns a little, like she might be trying to figure out if that's still too impolite.]

... I really didn't. I would have expected anything from anyone. I had no idea, Alice; this was very kind of you. [She bows her head slightly.] Thank you.

[twinverses]

[The little girl grins up at her. That's to be expected from a high class woman like Oriko.]

I'm really glad you're taking it.

[prescience]

[Oh, tea! And not the butterscotch stuff that is just a little too sweet for her palate but is probably much better suited for a tea party.]

I'm glad you thought of me. I'll have to have some soon. I feel like I've been drinking an unrealistic amount lately, but it brings me...comfort, in some way or another.

[twinverses]

You can't have enough tea, silly. [She giggles.] I'm glad I picked them out well. I didn't know if I would get it right.

[prescience]

Only if I'm not able to drink all of it... but with everyone here, I'll certainly have enough help. Ah, perhaps I should invite them...?

[Letting the thought trail off, Oriko spaces out for a moment as she looks back at the party going on around them, but then she comes back to the present.

She turns the collection over, examining the labels. There may be a few, like the butterscotch, that are too sweat for her tastes, but she'll try any of them when she has the chance. Too-sweet tea isn't...always the worst thing.]

[twinverses]

Yeah! Let's have a huge tea party again, Miss Oriko!

[She grabs Oriko's hand, jumping a little. Her grin is wide.]

Some but I thought--well, I thought a fancy lady like you would like other things.

[prescience]

[Ah, she seems so excited.

Oriko takes a quick look around them, taking in the other guests still at the party.]

Yes, we'll have to, won't we? Some of the others might like to attend as well.

You think I'm sophisticated? I think sometimes it's nice to enjoy something just because it's normal.

[twinverses]

Well, um. [She shifts slightly, straightening out her skirt.]

Yeah! You're... tall and smart and you know what to say all the time. Why wouldn't I think that?
