WEEK 6
Only one of your group died last week but the castle feels empty somehow. Whatever your thoughts on Alice were she did seem to curb the Cat's--no, the Storyteller's--impulses somewhat. Even if the Storyteller gave an end date for the game there seems to be a sinister air around the castle now. There's an area for the adventurous, at least?
Still, it likely won't help heal the wounds from last week... though, apparently, the Storyteller has decided to refill the library.

[Hello to week six, the last normal week before endgame! Don't forget to lose a memory. There's no AC this week! You can find the Storyteller at the audience chamber if you really want. As always you can turn in your threads for fabulous prizes!]

TUESDAY
MOTIVE
Regardless the table from last week is there still. Instead of envelopes, though, there are VHS tapes with the same picture labels.]
We tried to give you plenty of rewards to finish the game. That got us nowhere. So I've decided to do something different this time. I didn't want to go this route if Alice was around but some stupid girl ruined it for all of us, didn't she?
[The bitterness definitely isn't your imagination.]
On these tapes is footage of someone from your home. If no one kills anyone by the end of the week, all these people will forget you ever existed. I think last week made it clear that it's something I'm quite capable of.

That's it?

I don't think it matters if anyone can remember me anymore.

Re: MOTIVE
He knew he couldn't ignore the motive this time like he could with last week's.
...Silently, he turned and left.]

You don't think she'd be disappointed in you for acting like this?

[Then, with coordinated, patient jaws, he cracks off the movable flap at the front of the cassette and methodically begins pulling out the reeled tape itself, meter by meter.]
potential ai spoilers in replies
What an idiot. He couldn't remember how to write my name if he tried. Look, now he's gonna stare at something until it gives him clues again.

This is that Date you've talked about, right?

[The cocoa and sushi might not go together but that's okay. What matters is that Nagisa is cozy.]
Yeah. I think it's from earlier in the investigation. So it's nice to know just how much they can see.

[It's been weeks since he's seen any adults so looking at a video of this really dorky one is. Well it's interesting. Never a bad time to dunk on a grown-up but even he understands it's bad form to do it about a friend's brother or whatever. He's gonna limit it to extremely valid questions only, like.]
Was this guy formerly in solitary confinement or something?? I've never seen an adult carry a conversation with himself for that long...

[Truly Date is just a font of valid questions. Mizuki puts her hands on her knees, thinking.]
He doesn't really talk about things that happened from before six years ago. So maybe he's an ex-con!!

Re: MOTIVE
Dark Dream puts her tape back on the table.]
Do you have to do it like this?
"investigation" and also not
[So that sure was a motive.
Dark Dream wanders off, not really paying attention to where she's going, and she might end up pretty much anywhere. If and when she runs into anyone, she just has one question for them:]
Hey. Do you think you'll remember me later?
[Well, never accuse her of being too private about her feelings.]
investigation-ish
[Eventually she ends up in the hall of mirrors, where she stares at her own reflection and, after a moment, presses her hand against the glass. She's not expecting anything to happen, but it still feels like it should, even after all this time.]

Hey... am I... pretty enough yet?
no subject
Huh? Where are you?
no subject
[The voice sort of echoes around the hall. Where is it coming from??]
no subject
[She sort of wanders in a random direction.]

[Nigel blinks at the sudden question, but he goes with it after a moment of thought.]
Still, I'd definitely remember. It's not every day you meet a kid who looks like a teenager.

It's still weird thinking about how old I am. I feel like I should be a teenager.
