[They're down two of their number, and who knows how many more will follow, but for tonight at least... They have a chance to rest.

The school has already been cleaned, leaving no signs of the deaths that occurred on this very day, but that's just as well. After looking around to make sure of that much, Yuta marches into the kitchen and, after a bit of looking around, ends up gathering some snacks: boxed crackers and apple slices that aren't perfectly even in cut but look, he's not the chef of his group, he did his best. These he sets out on some plates in the cafeteria before finding his usual seat to lounge in, eating some apple slices off of a smaller plate he grabbed just for himself.

And then, he waits - to see who trickles in, and who doesn't.

Isn't coffee made by grinding? How does it know not to grind the tea?

[ He's interested enough in this cool future technology that it actually distracts him from the pain in his hand, at least for the moment. ]

So you're meant to wear one of those when you pick up the kettle? [ He indicates the oven mitt, presumably hanging back up now that it's completed its heroic task. ] How on earth do they expect anyone to know that?

[hashtagwoof]

[ He rolls his eyes. ] Because when you make coffee, you usually buy it pre-ground. So you don't have to worry about doing it yourself before you put it in the filter.

[ Does he have to go find a Keurig style coffee machine? Does he have to demonstrate -

Oh, now the mitt is being pointed out. ] Oh, this is just a personal precaution because you set the stove at, like, a hundred degrees.

Well, how am I supposed to know? I've never had the stuff in my life.

[ Probably a good thing. Can you imagine Valmont all jacked up on coffee? No one needs to deal with that. ]

What's it supposed to be set to, then, if you're such an expert?
