Post-Trial I Afterparty
[They're down two of their number, and who knows how many more will follow, but for tonight at least... They have a chance to rest.
The school has already been cleaned, leaving no signs of the deaths that occurred on this very day, but that's just as well. After looking around to make sure of that much, Yuta marches into the kitchen and, after a bit of looking around, ends up gathering some snacks: boxed crackers and apple slices that aren't perfectly even in cut but look, he's not the chef of his group, he did his best. These he sets out on some plates in the cafeteria before finding his usual seat to lounge in, eating some apple slices off of a smaller plate he grabbed just for himself.
And then, he waits - to see who trickles in, and who doesn't.
Where is your character in the aftermath?]

hey lyndon,
"I don't think you're guilty."
At the time, Thomasin had seemed one of the most suspicious, but back then Yasu couldn't be sure. Refused to be sure, really, she needed to be absolutely certain before making any real accusations. But that look in Thomasin's eyes when Yasu had accidentally suggested she'd consorted with witches... ah.]
It wasn't, um, any big deal. [Yasu curls up in her chair and stares deep into her cup.] I know what it's like to be the one everyone assumes is a- at fault, even when you're innocent. I... didn't want to do the same to you.
no subject
[ Regardless of what Yasu would wish, the same has been done to her. The same was done, long before today, and she can only imagine the same will be done again. Accusation, the great carrion bird that sees Thomasin's sickness of the soul and circles her from above, will doubtless come wheeling back to roost once more, but she appreciates the slightest shield from its predations nonetheless. ]
I knew it too, ere ever we saw this place. But the worst of it is when they'll not hear you.
