After last Friday's horrific discovery, the march toward the weekend must be filled with dread for some of Ira Academy's students. This week, the Principal's tailored threats became even more personal. Tuesday's motive announcement received a more noticeable reception across several members of the student body. In most cases, this would be a blessing: Good children care about protecting their loved ones.

Now, however, it's a threat. Someone with loved ones to protect might have felt there was nothing left to lose--except, perhaps, another classmate. Despite the lack of a real sun (or, truly, any genuine weather outside at all) the morning is a gloomy, cursed one. For anyone feeling concerned about what might be waiting out there, it might be a little hard to emerge from the warm safety of bed. Others may have felt the oppressive fear on the other end of things, unable to fall into a true sleep and still wide awake come morning.

Will this Friday see a repeat of last week, gruesome and bloody early in the morning? Or has everyone chosen to wait out the danger, refusing to give in to their fears? There's only one way to find out.

[Has anything aside from the unusual cleaning (and the mess near Thomasin's body) been disturbed?]

[Against the north wall is a faint outline of someone in paint.]

[Ash... but also pieces of charred clothing.]

[Okay, well, she was not expecting that. How tall is the outline? And is it an outline of their full body, or just part of it?]

[So Adorabat did indeed find the murder weapon. Hmm... With Yasu looking at the cleaned areas and Edward touching the body, Adorabat glances at the stool briefly before turning her attention upward. Is there anything suspicious about the upper portion of the room that would require the use of a stool for a non-flyer to get at?]

[It's not currently on fire but there's a floor cushion that has a candle on it.]

[Anya examines the floor cushion and candle closer...]

[That's...a new one, he's pretty sure.

Anything he can tell about these clothes? Color? Type of clothing? Highly unlikely, but smell?]

[It's about three feet tall and for what sort of outline it is... it's very weird looking. It's more like a shadow; the proportions are off somehow, there's a lot of empty space, and only the head is distinct.]

[Huh. Still pretty suspicious given the widespread use of keys. She makes a note of this—not really seeing much of a buddy system in place—and heads inside.]

[The candle is out now but you can see that the cushion has been scorched but not fully burned. The candle itself seems to be from the meditation room and isn't fully melted.]

[He looks over at him as he stands there and forces a weak smile.]

Would you like to... shall I teach you some of the things to look for? I could be the next to die.

[Well, maybe thrown isn't the right word but a lot of supplies seem to be pushed off the shelves near the doorway that moves into the art room, near Thomasin's body. Don't bump into Edward while you look closer.]

[Interesting. Anya takes another cursory look around, but then she tumbles out of the Meditation room. While on her butt, she grabs the candle and the cushion before getting up.

She'll be taking these with her.]

[First off, Thomasin's bed is unmade but probably more odd right now is that there are several candles from the meditation room and a book of matches on her nightstand.]
