After last Friday's horrific discovery, the march toward the weekend must be filled with dread for some of Ira Academy's students. This week, the Principal's tailored threats became even more personal. Tuesday's motive announcement received a more noticeable reception across several members of the student body. In most cases, this would be a blessing: Good children care about protecting their loved ones.

Now, however, it's a threat. Someone with loved ones to protect might have felt there was nothing left to lose--except, perhaps, another classmate. Despite the lack of a real sun (or, truly, any genuine weather outside at all) the morning is a gloomy, cursed one. For anyone feeling concerned about what might be waiting out there, it might be a little hard to emerge from the warm safety of bed. Others may have felt the oppressive fear on the other end of things, unable to fall into a true sleep and still wide awake come morning.

Will this Friday see a repeat of last week, gruesome and bloody early in the morning? Or has everyone chosen to wait out the danger, refusing to give in to their fears? There's only one way to find out.

[With the oppressive atmosphere and the morning and the events of last week still on her mind, the first thing Yasu does once she gets up is to check the sensory deprivation chamber. Seems like an ideal place to murder someone and/or stow away the body, in her opinion.]

[Like last time, Adorabat heads over to the gym for some quick morning workouts. It really would be a shame if Adorabat found another body here.]

[Carrie's been spending a lot of time in here this week, figuring out how to assemble an altar cross from wood cut to make birdhouses after Jeanne went all bright and sparkly at the idea.

It might look a little bit like a roadside grave marker, but... well, aside from her work (hopefully the paint is dry now?), is anything out of place here?]

[Yasu's rationale for going to the chamber is grimmer than Dewey's, so much so that she feels vaguely guilty when she sees him going inside to actually make use of its facilities rather than to check for bodies.]

S- Sorry for intruding, I'll, er, be on my way.

[She scooches toward the exit.]

...I had a hard time g- getting to sleep, too.

[Although she shows less signs of it, largely because she's used to staying up all night and reading.]

I- I don't like how quiet it is... if nothing happened, then... the Principal p- probably would've, um, upped the pressure to encourage us. So...
