WEEK 1
Well! That was some tea party, huh? You've finally seen the faces (or perhaps the singular is more proper here?) of your captors. A pair of creepy twins seem to fit the overall theme of the Castle at least. Why not have Twiddle Dee and Twiddle Dum, after all?
Regardless, it doesn't seem that they're changing their minds any time soon. The first floor of the Castle is still open up to you. The Audience Hall is still locked most of the time so perhaps you can meet the Alices there if you need to. There are plenty of things to occupy your time before the inevitable slow erosion of your memories. If this is a game, who will make the first move? You or the twins?
Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday | Friday | Saturday
((OOC: Welcome to peace week! There will be no case this week so just have fun and explore. If you want to investigate please put Investigation in your top level. Don't forget to put threads in for regains or go to the Audience Hall to meet the Alices.
Also, if you want to keep up to date on things we now have a discord server!))

...Okay. You tell me if you aren't feeling well too, though.
[He should at least return the favor. Kind of like how Teacher did it.]
...Yeah. I don't trust the Cheshire Cat here, either.
[The distaste in his voice when he mentions the name "Cheshire Cat" is palpable.]
no subject
Ah... I'm all right so far, but I'll keep it in mind.
[ Anyway, he agrees with the cat being pretty sketchy, but tilts his head curiously at the last part. ]
"Here"?

One that... talked, and everything, like this one?
[ Unless "not very nice" just means it scratched him when he tried to pet it or something. ]
Where was that?
no subject
It's... some kind of dream, I think. Everyone who lived at the facility seemed to be stuck in it. There's someone who calls himself the White Rabbit, and someone who calls himself the Cheshire Cat.
[His voice is a little timid, though. Waiting to see if he'll be believed, since it's occurring to him just how strange it must sound.]
no subject
...Even without that, he's got an annoying talking AI bear robot at home and they've got Lena and a cat turning into a person here, so strangeness is also kind of relative. He'll take it with a grain of salt but not write it off. ]
What sort of facility was it? ...And is this anything like that dream, aside from the Wonderland references?
no subject
[For various reasons.]
It... was strange enough that I thought it was part of the dream at first. Whenever you enter a new World in the dream, you wake up in a bed. Then there's puzzles you have to solve to get through doors and things, but if you fail the puzzle three times, you'll die. But... those Worlds were people's hearts, too.
[Hesitating some more. Trying to figure out how to explain something he's never had to before, something that's only partially been explained to him.]
...When I was in the Dream, the White Rabbit told me that the only way to get out was to find all the World Keys. But the World Keys got stolen and hidden in different Worlds. And all the Worlds are the hearts of everyone at the facility. So... when I went to Chelsy's world, it showed me the things in her heart. Her home, the letters she got, and... [faltering a little.] ...and things that happened there before she came to the facilty.
So... I don't think it's very similar. Unless this was a place that was important to the Queen before, and the game's something she went through herself.
no subject
Hm... so you don't think this would be her "World" if it wasn't a real place that had some specific meaning to her. They always reflect what was real, and not the wishes in people's hearts?
no subject
[Frowning a little.]
The White Rabbit said... a World is a place that shows the hidden side of someone's heart, because... something about the surface of the heart being close to vanishing? [he still doesn't get that part, really.] Mostly they're locked because people don't want others to go into their hearts. That's why I had to find the Keys.
Sometimes it showed the things that people wanted, but usually by the end, it showed the stuff that they locked up tight. Things they didn't want to show anybody else, because it was painful, or scary.
no subject
[ Something to keep in mind, in any case. ]
What were the Keys? Were they actually something physical?
no subject
If the hospital or the forest are things she wants to keep anyone else from seeing, it might turn into that. I feel like... it's always the stuff that people want to keep a secret, no matter what.
[Actually... his head tips down in thought as he remembers something else.]
Maybe it's actually the things that they're trying to renounce?

no subject
[Hm.]
I think... everyone who had a World was someone who renounced something. Like... uhh... [How does he say this without getting into details...]
Someone... who renounced having to face themselves... their World would turn into something that forced them to either acknowledge that, or, um... break.
