Good morning!

...Except it really isn't a good morning for the students at Ira Academy, after all. The deadline prescribed in this week's motive came just as quickly as the one's before it. It might be difficult to repel the sinking sense of dread that bleeds into Friday's early hours. That secret written on a slip of paper might even feel heavier for some. Perhaps it's Father's hate-filled words instead: I’m getting a little antsy about your performance. Do something to spice things up, won’t you? By now, is a grisly discovery every Friday morning a guarantee?

Though you're surely awake at the same time as usual--if you slept at all--there's a certain gloomier, late-year feeling to the artificial light keeping the Academy illuminated and providing the illusion of a complete world outside. There are no real seasons to speak of in this part of Closetland; one step into the playground proves that easily enough. And yet, as you emerge from your rooms, free to go wherever you wish today, it's hard to deny it. You've been enrolled here for quite a while, and time has passed.

Will autumn come and go before you get out of here?

[Dread. It's what Sonic's come to expect, honestly. It doesn't sit right regardless.

But-he knows what he has to do. First things first, he's going to knock on everyone's doors in the dormitory. Hopefully, people will answer.

OK. THAT IS A STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION.

Time to look elsewhere. He should probably check up on the fourth floor and work his way down, just in case.]

[There's nothing you can see on the fourth floor. Maybe another floor?]

[Ok, ok, cool.

Third floor it is!]

[Something is clearly amiss here but you don't find any deceased students.]

[....uh, SURELY IT'S NOTHING.

Second floor!]

[As you poke your head into the sensory deprivation room something seems... very off. Who would be using this room right now?]

[Please don't let it be good to be true that the other floors seemed ok and cool.

Please don't let there be someone in here dead.

He goes in to investigate.]

[An inhuman body is floating in the water. With paws he can no longer use, he won't be able to get out of here by himself.

Dylan is dead.]

No.

[He starts screaming.]

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

[Immediately he's grabbing Dylan, dragging him out of the water-]

NO, NO!! NO-come on, Dyl, c'mon please don't be dead-PLEASE SAY SOMETHING-

[Yasu doesn't respond to Sonic knocking on her door, which might be worrying... but he'll find her anxiously waiting outside of Koishi's instead.]

...b- better enough. Being a hermit in my room for, um, three days in a row gave me some time to recover, if nothing else...

I just realized I haven't seen her, [Yasu nods at Koishi's door,] for a little while, so... I thought I'd check in.

[Nods.]

That's cool, then. I'm glad you're doin' a little better, at least.

I'm gonna check around, just in case.

[No need to elaborate further. They all understand now, after all.]

[ Good news! Hunter is not dead!

You find this out because he was already heading out before you got the chance to knock on his door. ]

... What are you doing?

Checking to make sure everyone's cool.

[ And off he goes. ]

[Well, there's no response from Emma's door, but that's to be expected, isn't it?]

[Right.

...Well, he should...probably open the door then to check in before he heads out. Peek his head in. ~~Don't throw something at her if she's obviously asleep.~~]

[There's the sound of running water in the bathroom. It shuts off just as she steps out, jumping back in shock when she sees the door open.]

Sonic! You scared me!

AH! Sorry-I just want to make sure everyone's ok and I know you can't hear me knock and stuff-

[She looks a bit more understanding at that.] It's okay, I get what you mean. I was about to leave myself anyways.

[Adorabat doesn't answer.]
