Good morning!

...Except it really isn't a good morning for the students at Ira Academy, after all. The deadline prescribed in this week's motive came just as quickly as the one's before it. It might be difficult to repel the sinking sense of dread that bleeds into Friday's early hours. That secret written on a slip of paper might even feel heavier for some. Perhaps it's Father's hate-filled words instead: I’m getting a little antsy about your performance. Do something to spice things up, won’t you? By now, is a grisly discovery every Friday morning a guarantee?

Though you're surely awake at the same time as usual--if you slept at all--there's a certain gloomier, late-year feeling to the artificial light keeping the Academy illuminated and providing the illusion of a complete world outside. There are no real seasons to speak of in this part of Closetland; one step into the playground proves that easily enough. And yet, as you emerge from your rooms, free to go wherever you wish today, it's hard to deny it. You've been enrolled here for quite a while, and time has passed.

Will autumn come and go before you get out of here?

[He's crying. He can't stop crying. But he's...he's the only one now. The only one who can check the body.

It's...it's quite a bit before he can, and even as he does, he's still clearly teary-eyed. Even so. He wipes his face and begins.

Time to check the body. Whether he's truly ready to or not.

[First off... he's wearing the puppy bubble wrapper.]

[Nothing about the bubble wrapper itself but rather where it's hooked around his neck--there's ligature marks around his neck except for the right side where the bubble wrapper is.]

Do they look like they could have been made from something specific? Or are they too generalized to tell?]

[If you compare them to the jump ropes in this area, they seem about the same width.

Also, clarification! The Puppy Bubble Wrapper is very beat up looking. Dings, scratches, dents. Maybe the mod forgot light tricked you. There seems to be other things off about this body.]

Yeah, that the wrapper is beat up is very...hm. And he'll go back to it to double-check something, but first, body.

What else is up with his friend?]

[For one, he has cuts and bruises all over his body, with glass shards embedded in the cuts.

There's a piece of plastic in his teeth that looks a little odd. There's... more, too. Continue looking?]

[Hang on a sec, he's going to get a plastic baggie from the nearest Plastic Bag Depository(TM) and get that...weird piece of plastic out. Also noting those shards and cuts and...and bruises.

He's not liking the picture this is painting at all.

[Adorabat's looking at the water, Sonic's looking at the...body, so Emma slowly pulls herself up. Is there anything else weird in the room?]

[There is one thing that seems very odd. Why are jump ropes in this room?]

[Definitely weird. She's going to go over to pick them up. Are they wet?]

[No. They're laying near the pool but not in it. They're also tied together...or they would have been if they weren't cut up.]

[Well then. How exactly are they cut up? Near the knots? Into a lot of small pieces, or several big pieces?]

[There is a total of ten jump ropes. Nine have been cut near the knots - each rope is a short piece and a long piece. However, there's one rope in four pieces. In this case, there's a very short rope part, a slightly longer rope part, a longer part with the handle, and the longest handle-part with rope that is over half the total length.]

[Well, that's odd that that one is different...do any of the ropes have bits of fur on them?]
