Good morning!

...Except it really isn't a good morning for the students at Ira Academy, after all. The deadline prescribed in this week's motive came just as quickly as the one's before it. It might be difficult to repel the sinking sense of dread that bleeds into Friday's early hours. That secret written on a slip of paper might even feel heavier for some. Perhaps it's Father's hate-filled words instead: I’m getting a little antsy about your performance. Do something to spice things up, won’t you? By now, is a grisly discovery every Friday morning a guarantee?

Though you're surely awake at the same time as usual--if you slept at all--there's a certain gloomier, late-year feeling to the artificial light keeping the Academy illuminated and providing the illusion of a complete world outside. There are no real seasons to speak of in this part of Closetland; one step into the playground proves that easily enough. And yet, as you emerge from your rooms, free to go wherever you wish today, it's hard to deny it. You've been enrolled here for quite a while, and time has passed.

Will autumn come and go before you get out of here?

[ Alright, so. This is the only room she and Adorabat didn't get around to sweeping; it's also the place Kuro had intended to check next, if nothing turned up in the sensory deprivation room. So, this is where she heads now. What catches her eye? ]

[whimsicalism]

[There's a bit here but the first thing she'd see? One of the windows is broken and bloody.]

[ Oookay. Cool. Well, she has her shoes on, so she'll approach.

First, thing's first: how big is the break in the glass? Does it look like someone put an arm through it, or is it broken enough to suggest... Well... The whole dog? ]

[It does look like a whole dog went through the window.]

[ She kinda doubts it considering they're on the second floor, but... Kuro looks down, checking for glass on the inside of the break. It'd be really impressive if someone managed to throw Dylan through a second-story window from the ground outside!!

Does it look like the glass was broken inward, or was Dylan thrown out? ]

[For some reason... it looks inwards. There's even some glass on the floor near the window.]

Wild... Assuming this glass is bloody as well? Is there anything else to be found around the window or in its immediate area while Kuro is examining it anyway? ]

[It is! There's some other things in the lab that's not near the window that seem pretty suspicious. Who leaves a lint roller in a lab?]

[ Alright, let's check that out. Where's it sitting, and does it look like it has actually been used to roll some lint recently? ]

[It's on a table in about the middle of the room. There's white and black hair on it, centered mostly around the center.]

[ Yeah, that's about what she expected. She'll take that with her, but for now... Is there anything else on the table that looks out of place? ]

[There's a yellow biohazard bag that's hanging up in a corner but it looks rather beaten up.]

[ She'll examine the exterior of the bag before checking its contents. In what way does it look beaten up? Bloodied, torn, etc? ]

[There's blood on the inside but it looks like something bit it from the outside.

After you finish looking at the bag, there's a scalpel on the table near where you found the lint roller that I forgot to mention.]

[ Just blood, huh? No bloodied objects or anything like that?

Also is the scalpel clean or dirtied in some fashion? ]

[Nope.

Also the scalpel is rather clean. Maybe just a few strands of rope stuck to it.]

[ Okay, one quick clarification about the hazard bag, then. Does the blood on the inside look like someone bled directly into it, or more like there was a bloodied object in it that has since been removed? Like is it smeared or just kind of pure splatter, basically. ]

[More like smeared, yes.]
