WEEK FIVE

There's one thing that belongs in Closetland: Monsters.

It was a monster that brought the students here to begin with, and it's a monster who controls their lives now. By now, some have even accused their classmates of turning into--or always being--monsters themselves.

The academy is just as cold as it was last week, autumn air seeping in through the unfriendly architecture and the artificial light seeming darker than before. The occasionally cloud of purple fog snakes through the hallways at ground level, a constant reminder of the new presence haunting the school and her role in the past five weeks of torment. Now that Kakuya is back in a body of her own making, the music room is silent, though the rooms and halls of the Academy themselves occasionally fill with a low, haunting flute melody. With the school's new overlord already wishing her ill, Nanami's already deflating power and free roam capabilities are more or less completely limited as well: She's just one more toy in the box.

The stairwell has opened into another new floor. Upon closer inspection, it seems to be the uppermost one. This is the top of Ira Academy, and while it likely bears some new answers and some new locations to try and find a solution to your plight, is there anything that can heal some of the rifts that formed from the accusations thrown at the last trial? Still, if you don't find answers, then you'll be here playing this eternal deadly game.

Welcome to Week 4! Nanami has joined the party! She no longer has office hours but still be contacted privately, as can Kakuya, who is no longer stuck in the music room. New locations are now open, and some minor adjustments have been made to the IC profiles and rules. Please hit the mods with a ping in Discord and put INVESTIGATE in your subject line if you're interested in exploring a new location. The SHEEP are still taggable, though you may find them in a...different mood.

You now have a week to make sure your AC in for last week and to start collecting AC for this week. Remember to submit your regains, and sign up for a spot exploring this week's mystery if you want to!

B- but then what do we do!? We haven't trained enough to work good as a team yet...!

We-we figure something out. Even if she succeeds...you know where they are, right? You can find them again, even if they might not remember you the same...

[violence_ensues]

[Adorabat grasps Emma again.]

But they weren't born in Pure Heart Valley and only came there because they crashed into the Ruby Pure Heart and cracked it causing the shield to fail and then Mao Mao said he couldn't be an adventurer anymore and only a boring humble action hero and protect Pure Heart Valley and teach me how to be a hero and Kakuya said she'd make sure the Sky Pirates didn't fall where they fell and fall somewhere different to make Mao Mao not crash into the Ruby Pure Heaaaaaaaaaaart!

[temmapathy]

[Okay, she's having trouble following all that now, but-]

In that case, we'll find him together! Or-or maybe one of us knows time travel too and we can fix things back!

[violence_ensues]

ONE OF US KNOWS TIME TRAVEL!?

[Yes, because that is the thing Adorabat latched in on.]

I've been with y'all for weeks and none of y'all told me! Is- is it Yasu!?

I don't know! It's all I can hope for now!

[violence_ensues]

Emma, please... I don't want to risk this. Meeting Mao Mao and Badgerclops was the best day of my life...

[Can you deny these puppy eyes that are actually bat eyes?]

[temmapathy]

Do you really think you can kill someone for that? I'm worried too, Adorabat, but I still don't want to kill anyone...

[violence_ensues]

[It's only now that Adorabat stops and realizes what she says, and looks definitely guilty about it.]

...I'm sorry...

[temmapathy]

[Yeah, that's the Adorabat she knows.]

It's alright. At least you got it out of your system before we had a meeting about this.

[Does she want a hug?]

[violence_ensues]

[Adorabat guiltily sighs and stops grasping Emma, backing away a little in the air. Her eyes form tears at the edges.]

I... I still can't lose Mao Mao and Badgerclops... They're my bestest friends... My only friends at home...

[She'll take a hug if offered.]

[temmapathy]

You'll still have us! [A pause.] I know we can't replace them...but you'll have us as your friends. If everything gets changed, we'll all have to stick together.

[And okay then, Emma will pull her into a hug.]

[violence_ensues]

[Adorabat has been successfully pulled into a hug and will bat hug back. Still, this is all too much for her. She starts crying softly.]

[Emma just holds her tightly, patting her gently on the back.]
