All three deaths last were tragic in their own ways. Was trust so fragile in that castle that a simple misunderstanding could end in blood? It seemed to be the case. The trial proved that without a doubt. Surely no one else would make that mistake again. As another week begins the tea cup elevator has granted access to a new area. Maybe the new amusements of a festival will ease your wounded hearts?

Yes, it's a pity we can't ask her. There are other possibilities, of course, though it's hard to wrap my mind around a scenario where someone else might have been brought from my home world earlier.

[She thinks of that pitiful Homura Akemi, constantly wheeling through cycle after cycle after cycle. What if they were all from different desperate timelines?

That's a problem for future Oriko, and certainly not something that should complicate their basic investigation. Leaning over to look at the old scene of the crime, Oriko hums thoughtfully.]

It does seem that most participants are keeping some record of what they know. Do we even have something that would allow us to enter her old room?

I'm not sure, but if not, we should have an advantage in that regard too. You'd at least have a chance of recognizing something that came from your world... or maybe the kind of thing she might be likely to own?

[ You can infer some things about a person's interests without actually knowing them, after all, and if her voice was recognizable, then Oriko has at least seen her before. (He's sure anyone looking at him would be able to figure out he'd be more likely to own a book than a basketball, anyway.) ]

Yes... Above anyone else here, at least, I'd possess that advantage. [When it comes to physical evidence, Oriko can't say that she's the strongest here, but she is observant. She nods solemnly, accepting the charge to go through Sayaka Miki's final belongings.]

What about these other unfortunate children? Are there any in whose rooms you think you might be able to find something important?

[For the purposes of merging stuff together, we can say they returned to the suite area to discover all the items left behind while they're discussing this?

After some mulling them over, she'd pick those sweet ass classical tunes, of course.]

The cowboy hat opens up Room 15 and the blue ribbon opens up an alternate room 5.]

[Well, Oriko herself will be taking care of the girl whose name and voice are familiar for now.

Politely, and completely without reason, she announces herself before she enters the room.

Her eyes would be immediately drawn to the window, like it or not. What does the landscape outside look like?

After that, does anything seem out of place or is the bedroom orderly?]

[An empty concert hall. Or, well, it would be if the previous occupant hadn't put a sheet over the window.

There's some CDs scattered all over the place, watch your step. Some balled up papers thrown aside next the desk might be interesting as well.

Of course, her portrait is on the bed but the other things might be more interesting.]

[Someone's a coward. What is it that you didn't want to face, Sayaka Miki? She wonders.

Oriko will pick up the CDs first to get them out of the way, not wanting to accidentally step on something, and take a look at them while making her way over to the desk and those papers.]

[Says the person who sleeps in her dead girlfriend's room to not look at her own window.

They're all classical music, arranged for the violin. Which might be a little odd unless Oriko ever had visions of Sayaka not around her best friend.

One of them seems to be a picture, the other is some writing. Which first?]

[Missing isn't dead stop arguing with her in narration brackets!!!!!

Picture first - they are, after all, worth so many words.]

But ahem, enough of that. The three girls in the picture are three you have seen quite a lot.

There also seems to be writing on the back of this as well. If you're done staring at your nemesis hate crush.]

It's been almost three months, Sayaka Miki. How long will your memories hold up? I wonder which one of your group will break next.

Perhaps you should keep an eye out on them all?

She'll reread the typed words on the back a few times, trying to place it with some tone, some attitude, but nothing comes to mind right away.

What about the crumpled up note?]

[The next is handwritten. Presumably from Sayaka herself:

Week 1: Tatsumi broke a rule and the fish fell.
Week 2: Drevis killed the cousins in the library. She got what she deserved.
Week 3-4: Nothing.
Week 5: ...Catarina-san fell. We had to execute Lillie-chan.
Week 6: Nothing.
Week 7: Viola went crazy. Mikhail, Dani-chan, Nanako-chan and Esther-chan died. We found her out, though. Trying to frame Maria-chan was a nasty trick.
Week 8-10: Nothing.
Week 11: The Storyteller sent me a picture. Someone's going to try again, aren't they? Bet it's Kure. She'd try to pull something like Viola did, I'm sure. I'll start patrolling.]

[ Okay, well, Nagisa likes blue, and he... likes people who like ribbons, so room 5 is the obvious choice, once he gets around to this after the meeting.

...It's very weird opening up an alternate dimension next door to his own room, but at least he hadn't really seen inside of Ib's room in the first place, so it's less weird than it could be. ]

[It seems that the person who inhabited this room was far from Ib's temprament, if the nameplate is to be believed. It reads Mao Ninagawa the Devious Diva.

Some old adverts for some TV programs featuring a younger version of this teenager, including even some more recent pictures of her in various advertisements litter the room.

The window is of a large school. There's a portrait thrown haphazardly on the bed. As well as a paper that's been ripped in half on the floor.]

[ ...Ah. That's a familiar-feeling title. This girl has a very different look than Kotoko, though.

Is the portrait on the bed her own? ]

[It is. Though, apparently, she was older than Kotoko.

[The paper was violently ripped in two and thrown on the ground.

I wonder what wlll happen first, Mao. Will you forget everything or will you be forgotten? Someone like you can't take an extended break, can they?

[ ...Well, that kind of supports what he said yesterday about the memory loss still being a motive on its own, doesn't it? Is the writing familiar at all? ]

[It's been typed, so unfortunately no handwriting sample here.]

Is there anything notable about any of the advertisements she appears in? Is the school outside the window an interior or exterior shot? ]

I'm sure one of them was actually the one whose room I looked at before -- Sasaki, with the colored pencils. Maybe if I can figure out what belongs to her killer, though...

It sounded like a girl... It isn't much to go off of, but it is a place to start if we find any other belongings.

[As they're wrapping up things here, she pauses to think. It's doubtful that any big answers are coming from someone whose room has already been explored, but...]

That person was missing information on her portrait before, wasn't she? I suppose that will be updated now, too.
