WEEK 6

Only one of your group died last week but the castle feels empty somehow. Whatever your thoughts on Alice were she did seem to curb the Cat's--no, the Storyteller's--impulses somewhat. Even if the Storyteller gave an end date for the game there seems to be a sinister air around the castle now. There's an area for the adventurous, at least?

Still, it likely won't help heal the wounds from last week... though, apparently, the Storyteller has decided to refill the library.

[Hello to week six, the last normal week before endgame! Don't forget to lose a memory. There's no AC this week! You can find the Storyteller at the audience chamber if you really want. As always you can turn in your threads for fabulous prizes!]

I have no idea, and that's precisely what makes me so concerned about these 'Kids of Apple Court'. She may have taken it - and them - by force, though I admittedly haven't seen much other evidence for that.

Hm... It might be worth reviewing any unexplained things we encountered on other floors to see if we can make any new connections now that we have this information in mind.
battlestations: (odds are)

It's not a bad idea. Though... It might be too hard to tell apart from the other stuff we found about the previous game. We can keep our eyes open for it now though.

That's true... I'd be surprised if they hadn't looked into it themselves, though. If we assume they usually gained access to one floor per week like we did, and Sasaki didn't die until the eleventh week of the game, that should have given them plenty of time to look into anything they might have found on that new level.

...Then again, they didn't seem particularly well organized or motivated, from what we know of them.

That's fair to say. [At the edge of the food court, the Aya doll bows her head. We're ignoring that.]

Do you suppose she'll come out with them as hostages?
strictura: (there's no room for promotions)

I wouldn't expect so. While this may sound cold, they don't really mean anything to us personally, so there would be a limited incentive for us to act in whatever way she wants us to for their sake.

[that's an interesting viewpoint coming from the 'loyal to kids as a whole' kid.... but he supposes he does have more loyalty to the group here, nevertheless]

I see... perhaps it was merely left here to gloat, then.

[ To be fair, he meant more that the Storyteller wouldn't expect them to care about strangers, and thus wouldn't bother keeping them around this whole time to try to use them against them... but they've also been voting kids they do know to their deaths for over a month now in order to protect themselves, so it's probably a reasonable assumption. ]

What, about her being named on their monster list? That doesn't sound impossible.
