WEEK 6

Only one of your group died last week but the castle feels empty somehow. Whatever your thoughts on Alice were she did seem to curb the Cat's--no, the Storyteller's--impulses somewhat. Even if the Storyteller gave an end date for the game there seems to be a sinister air around the castle now. There's an area for the adventurous, at least?

Still, it likely won't help heal the wounds from last week... though, apparently, the Storyteller has decided to refill the library.

[After likewise getting his bedding up into the treehouse (probably with Nigel's help, lbr) Amdi watches Nigel play games, totally fascinated. Not with the game on the screen, mind you, he's staring at Nigel's hands. All that intricate and precise button-pressing and joystick-tilting... Amdi is totally jealous.]

Wowww...

[He would definitely have helped if no one else did! Anyway, the precision is debatable. Nigel isn't amazing at video games. He usually prefers to do missions, but in their yawning absence, he's giving them a shot. They're not exactly the excitement he craves, but it's something at least. He's playing a racing game, right now selecting between the available cars.]

What's that? You like the Porche?

[Well, one or two of him were indeed looking at the screen rather than the controller, so Nigel's question is pretty reasonable.]

Huh? What's a "porsha?" Is that one of your fingers?

[That question, however, was probably pretty weird.]

[Thing is, even if the dogs aren't looking at the screen, Nigel is looking at the screen.]

Huh? No it's the car... you meant my fingers?

[Several of Amdi tilt their heads down and around to examine his grip on the controller from every angle.]

Geez, I always forget how amazing you guys' front paws are.

Ah, hehe, it's nothing that I'd brag about but I guess they are pretty useful. Can't take thumbs for granted.

[A pause as he realizes he must be wishing he could play a game. He thought watching cars would be fun for a dog, but maybe there's a wheel controller somewhere? Or a game that would be more like decision making so he could help him play...]

[Amdi looks up at him in surprise. It deadass never occurred to him that he could possibly play anything.]

[Admittedly what he has in mind is a bit more like backseat gaming. He's not gonna try inventing a dog controller tonight.]

I don't know what it stands for. It's the sort of game the smart, introverted kids like to play. The sort who don't do much field work...

What the hell RPGs are even on X-Box. I guess they're gonna play Skyrim or something]
