Reactions to the Principal’s last announcement Tuesday were certainly mixed. Can the Principal do as he says and bring a dangerous threat from everyone’s homes, eager for revenge? Whether he can or he can’t, a student who believed it to be possible could have easily taken him up on his offer and turned on another classmate. Of course, it could all be a lie–a story to scare children into behaving themselves. But can everyone take that risk?

With no weekend class events scheduled, Friday is perhaps the highlight of the school week. Just one more day, and it will be the weekend! Fun, friends, and excitement await!

… If only that excitement could carry over into Friday morning at Ira Academy. As students go about their mornings, they may drift into various areas of the school. It’s early enough that classes haven’t started yet.

What will you investigate?

HOW IT WORKS

While most folks have likely been through this song and dance before, here's a quick breakdown of how investigation runs at Castle W:

1. Post with your character indicating the area they're visiting this morning.
2. The mod journal will reply letting you know if the area is normal, if something might be a little off and you'll want to check back later, or if something's VERY off.
3. Once the something VERY has been uncovered, the discovery will be announced, and mods will post a comment highlighting the areas of the school that have clues and toplevels for these areas.
4. Tag into the toplevels for these areas if you'd like your character to look for clues there.

[Unfortunately he can't smell much beyond the blood and general death smells. The gash looks cut. Her fingertips and hands are dirty as well as her fingernails. Her nails aren't torn, though.

One thing he notices, though, is that with the way she's laying her shoes shouldn't be as dirty as they are.]

[Very odd! The shoes are askew, and naturally it's easy to notice that once he focuses on them, but now that has him examining more closely.

Are the soles dirty? Are they dirty with blood or just dirt? Do they appear to be the wrong size for her feet?]

[They're dirty with just blood. They seem to be the right size, though.]

[Huh!! Do the soles have any bloodstains, or alternately are they unusually clean? And are there any tracks in blood and/or dirt in the area around the body, for that matter?]

[There's bloodstains on the soles, yes! There's no visible tracks in the gym, however.]

[That is definitely weird.

Do the stains on the shoes make it appear that someone was stepping in the puddle of blood instead of just that someone collapsed in it?]

[There's more on the bottom than the sides of the shoe, yes.

Actually, back to the wound. Are you noting the angle, Edward?]

[Having given the rest of her body the once over he is definitely coming back to take a closer look at the stab wound! Is something about the angle unusual?]

[It's in and out. There's not much of an angle at all.]

[h u h so either it is someone of similar height or she was lying down, presumably.

Say, looking around at the amount of blood in this room, does it seem like the puddle of it is unusually small, all considered? Edward is fairly familiar with how much blood a human contains, after all. Is it possible that the actual murder took place elsewhere and the body was moved here?]

[It does look consistent with someone who bled to death.]

[hm! Are there any signs that Luz moved or tried to struggle as she was bleeding out?]
