WEEK 2

[whimsicalism]

The first week at the castle passes without any (recent) murders. Mysteries were found, questions asked, bonds formed, and Halloween celebrated. Now as Sunday 'dawns', you might feel your mind a little lighter as your first memories fade. Will this be just a week celebrating the (questionably) best thing about October or will more sinister things be afoot?

Either way, it looks like the Alices will continue their game.

Does this pendant have anything to do with the Holy Grail Wars? I'm not sure, I'm just trying to feel my way through the dark.

[ She asks, voice strained. Of course, the question remains what she's feeling bad about.

When Seven holds out the pendent, her tensing shoulders relax again. There's no particular recognition in her eyes as it's held in her direction, however. ]

I don't know. Maybe. It does look old, but I don't know what Servants were involved in Alice's War.

I see... [He held out Fido for her, still having that little bit of childishness in him. Hopefully, he'll be capable of retaining it.] It's the memories, isn't it? [Manaka was peculiar in her numbness towards death, but Seven still came to care for her and was concerned.]

Mm-hm. Our... precious, precious memories. [ She sees Fido, but she doesn't take it. Her jaw tenses. ] I thought... I thought they would start at the beginning. I thought that eternity of meaningless, inconsequential moments would be eaten away first. But instead... Instead...!

Maybe. But, sometimes, it's just worse for the person who is sad, I think.

Why would they not want comfort...?

If you won't feel better no matter what, and someone tries anyway, doesn't it just make you feel like you have to pretend you're better? After all, your friend will probably feel guilty if they know they couldn't do anything to help you.
