WEEK 2
The first week at the castle passes without any (recent) murders. Mysteries were found, questions asked, bonds formed, and Halloween celebrated. Now as Sunday 'dawns', you might feel your mind a little lighter as your first memories fade. Will this be just a week celebrating the (questionably) best thing about October or will more sinister things be afoot?
Either way, it looks like the Alices will continue their game.
Sunday | Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday
[Hello, and welcome to week 2! Don't forget to submit your memory losses here and your activity here. If you want to ask or annoy the twins you can do so here. As always, don't forget to turn your threads in for 'fabulous prizes.]
Either way, it looks like the Alices will continue their game.

SUNDAY
PUNISHMENT: How Curiouser (1/2)
It might seem natural to try to get in anyway you could. For Ib this Sunday morning seems to be the perfect time to do so. One of the doors are slightly ajar, after all. While everyone else is busy this morning, Ib slips into the audience hall uninvited.
What happens could only be described as mayhem. The audience hall door suddenly slams and locks behind Ib. A loud inhuman roar rumbles throughout the castle. Both Alices start talking at once.
If Ib's saying anything, the roar drowns her out as the Alices speak magically.]
H-huh? What is it--
Looks like we have an intruder, Alice--go back to sleep. I'll handle it, you? You go back outside we can finish later.
Hm... bye-bye, I guess.
[With that, silence overtakes the audience hall once more as the large doors swing open. Queen Alice is rubbing her eyes on the throne while the Cat Alice, in human form, is holding Ib's arm. Her voice is angry when she speaks.]
We can't have tattlers in our castle, you know. Time for you to wake up. [Ib opens her mouth to say something but can only yawn. In a daze she wanders out towards the foyer as if to speak her discoveries. As soon as she leaves the audience hall Ib collapses and the doors slam shut once more behind her.
She almost seems asleep as she lays on the floor. Her breathing is stable then it becomes slower and slower even as people start swarming into the foyer to see what happened. Ib, the Embodiment of Spirit, is dead.]
How Curiouser (2/2)
[The voice of the cat Alice rings out a few minutes later.]
Let this be a lesson to those with curious minds. No one is more curious than Alice but no skipping to the final chapter, alright?
[She will... take care of Ib's body when everyone leaves the room.]

His room is neat as would be expected, aside from a stack of books piled up on the floor by the side table, and a few items on the desk that he hasn't decided what to do with yet. The view outside the window is much more unique than anything inside.
...Ib's room had been next door. ]
Given what happened this morning, I thought it would be a good idea to check in and share what else we've learned since the last major meeting, so we can get our information in order as much as possible before presenting it to everyone else.
[ Later on, he'll be in the library with a notebook and some gel pens. He's pulled out three sheets of paper and is using the edge of the notebook cover as a straight edge to map out calendars for October, November, and December.
He's drawn X's through the boxes for October 1st through the 10th, and there's a small question mark in the corner of the box for the 23rd. ]

MONDAY
Re: MONDAY
It wasn't the same as it was with Mr. Stripey-Pants long ago...]
"Me miserable! Which way shall I fly
Infinite wrath and infinite despair?
Which way I fly is hell; myself am hell;
And in the lowest deep a lower deep,
Still threat'ning to devour me, opens wide,
To which the hell I suffer seems a heaven."
[That was a portion of poetry he had come across as an even younger child from accidentally reading Dante's Inferno. His brain immediately kept it with him, but it couldn't truly process how heavy it was until this point of time.
One of the group was dead. Gone with the wind.
He held up the drawing of One he made. This is what had slipped his mind since yesterday... He could tell his sister loved him. But even with all the events that he had written down to associate with her, he didn't know if he could love her back in the same way anymore. These descriptions weren't his memories. They're just chicken scratch to fill in the blanks.]

On Monday, sometime early in the morning, Manaka moves to the garden. She doesn't seem to be enjoying the idyllic, sunny surroundings, however; instead, she's seated in the grass with her knees pulled close to her chest. Braced against her legs is the notebook from her room, and she writes furiously with the glitter pen in her hand. Several pages are already filled, and she looks like she's determined to fill the rest before she goes to bed tonight with how rapidly she writes.
...Also, there is a pigeon waddling around the grass around her. It doesn't go very far, sometimes milling, sometimes settling into the grass and softly cooing. Sometimes, it tries to roost on Manaka's shoulder, and she irritable swats it away. It doesn't seem bothered, and it waddles after her when she finally gets up to leave. It can be found following her throughout the rest of the day: when she eats dinner in the dining hall, when she relocates to the library, and when she returns to the bedroom suit in the evening.
In the bedroom suite, Manaka can be found with an assortment of oddball items in front of her. As she waits to see what others will take, she reads the directions for Treasure X with narrowed eyes. ]

TUESDAY
MOTIVE
Everyone to the audience hall. I'll drag you out myself if you don't show up.
[At the audience hall, Queen Alice with the other Alice in cat form are on the throne. Alice the Queen still looks like she's tired but is at least awake.]
Unfortunately, the game is still going on.
[The cat nods slightly.]
So, let's give them a prize if they go through with winning the game. I'm sure everyone has someone that's blocking their path back at home. An evil stepmother, maybe, the old witch down the road... or even just a teacher who refuses to give you an A no matter how hard you work!
If you manage to win, my Alice will eliminate whoever you think is your greatest obstacle back home. That means you can't pick either of us or anyone else in the castle or even someone else in another world.
I'd let you stay for tea but it's clear that no one would stay. Go about your days, now.
Yeah... I need another nap.
[The Alices don't seem to want to talk anymore and the doors lock behind everyone once they leave.]

Lena casts an eye at her little stack of coins at around three in the morning, and soon enough she finds herself creeping out at the witching hour to cash in. She ends up surrounded by a bunch of stuff, some of it the same size as she is, and it takes her a while to drag it all back to her room. The bucket of mud is particularly unwieldy and gross, and after almost upsetting it in the portrait gallery, she decides it's someone else's problem and abandons it where it stands.
When you come in for breakfast, she has somehow managed to drag her treasure chest to the top of a chair. Lena perches atop it, eating a piece of toast, and casually rolls a shiny "gold" coin between two of her fingers on the other hand. ]
Doubloon for your thoughts?
[ After the motive, she goes to the library. Like others before her, her search for nonfiction leads her straight to the Zoobooks. Anyway, have you seen Ferris Bueller's Day Off? Do you remember the scene where Cameron stares at a painting and the camera keeps zooming in further on both of them? Have you ever imagined it with a cartoon duck and this? ]

MEETING
For those of you who have been living under a rock, the Alices just promised an extra prize to whoever murders an innocent person and then tricks all the rest of us into executing each other instead! They're gonna "eliminate someone"! Most of us saw Ib get killed right before our eyes Sunday. What happened is sad, and painful. This isn't a prank, and it's only a game in the worst possible way.
At the same time, our investigations, questions, and experiences ARE getting results. We've discovered that this Castle is called the Nameless Forest, a memory draining area within a world only kids and monsters can live: Closetland. Anyone can write down what they learned in the clue collection. [Points at place setting to her left.]
Cat Alice even said she'd brought adults here only to find they didn't appear or instantly died. Even though we can't trust her stupid rules, we need to listen to each other, because I understand people seriously might be tempted by the offer. People in my sector, let's meet in the media room at 8PM tomorrow night. If anyone else is interested in sectors, check out the roster - we can talk about restructuring to get at least one more big group together, or anything else that comes up. [That was a place setting to her right.] For the rest of you guys, we know we made our case last time.
Alright! We're still one group! No betrayals for ten days now! Double digits. Keep it up! [Mizuki pumps both fists and gets down from her chair.]

WEDNESDAY

[Well most notable at first glance is probably the fact that, for the first time since he arrived, he is wearing clothes. All eight of him have on very practical-looking leather jackets that are covered in pockets and conveniently paw-sized climbing loops. Between him he's packing both 2-meter tape measures, several sheaves of note paper, a whole mess of pens and pencils, and a 10-meter coil of "rope" (clearly made by ripping up and braiding his own bedsheets) which itself has accurately sharpied meter marks along its entire length.]
[And what is he doing with all this kit? Simple: he is measuring every room in the castle, down to the last centimeter. And between his ability to string his members out in a long line and climb on himself in a three-deep pyramid, he is doing a damn good job of it.]
[Want to help? Gawk? Ask what the hell even? If you are in literally any currently-accessible-to-him area inside of the castle he will be there at some point today.]

[For sector friends, Cori and Seven and Dark Dream and Veronica, Mizuki is setting up the promised. She's picked out five board games fairly similar to the ones loaded into the GameChild... which she takes out of her coat pocket and places proudly on top of the TV like a mantelpiece.]
So, I thought about how a lot of board games are actually for four people, but there's five of us, and that gave me an idea. We can take turns having an odd one out keep score, and then who has the most points after all that gets the prize. Since I'm the leader, I'll be scorekeeper first. Does that sound fun? [Her feet tap. She is not taking acceptance for granted.]

It's a lot easier to move around in than it looks, so she doesn't have any trouble when she goes out to the garden. It's a nice open space to run around, jump, try to climb the tree... generally she just had to get out and do something physical, so that's what she's doing. In practice, though, she spends just as much time sitting down to rest and look at the butterflies.
Later, though, she has work to do. She's carrying the Alice bookmark around and trying out different doors, which finally brings her to room 29.]

THURSDAY
Sleepover
I understand things have been rough this week so I'm sorry we couldn't have this sooner. My Alice and I prepared the media room for a sleepover for everyone. It's now big enough for everyone to sleep in there for tonight, too! We'll have food and plenty of films for everyone. It'll start after supper!
Oh, by the way a few stacks of non-fiction books are back in the library. We haven't been able to place them in their places yet but they're there. Please have fun for me!
[With this notice, Queen Alice gives a great yawn before growing silent. As she says, now there are some non-fiction books of various sorts in the library.
More importantly for tonight? There are some tables with various treats in the media room. Popcorn? Candy? Everything's there. Various horror movies have also been pulled out of their cases and lined up for use.
Some books have been left in the media room if things weren't already creepy enough in this castle. The Alices themselves are absent from the proceedings.]

[so Nigel has been using the gift machine a fair amount, and... since he's started hoarding food too, it's finally gotten to the point where too much junk is cluttering his room. So now he's lugged it all out to spread out across one of the benches in case anyone wants it for grabs. There's quite an assortment of items and he's cool parting with most of it, although anything that's a weapon (sadly that includes the riding crop) has remained in the safety of his room. While he will call out to people whose stuff he suspects he has, he's entertaining himself in the meantime. Things like blowing bubbles, chasing an angry-faced butterfly around the foyer, and unleashing the terrible treasure shark into a little home made maze to get the golden cellphone at the end. ...He's obviously really bored, huh? Maybe you should keep him company.]
yard spar
[Well, no offense to anyone who hung out with him in the foyer, but Nigel's still antsy even after that. Admittedly, anyone would have trouble sitting still when the motive is still hanging over their heads after almost a week... even the Alices are apparently bored enough to throw a party. The suspense isn't great for a paranoid kid like him, so he's out in the meadow a couple hours before it starts, hanging some smuggled serving pots from the dining hall dishes over trees to use as target practice for his S.C.A.M.P.P. laser beam. They keep falling down though and making him mutter.]
Alright, this isn't working. [Clearing his throat, he speaks loudly.] I WONDER if anyone here likes a friendly battle!?

She spends a good deal of the day in the garden, sitting at one of the tables and writing in her notebook, but then she does something curious - she stands and, drawing things out, starts to pace around the edge of the room, taking long and measured steps.
It is entirely possible, despite her best efforts to imitate a dear cartographer friend of hers, that she runs into someone, because that's just the kind of luck she has. ]
Oh! Sorry about that, are you alright?
[ Or, later on, she can be found in the library, looking over the new nonfiction arrivals. ]
Klaus would have loved these... and all of this room, really. Though I suppose he'd be happier in a less dangerous sort of library.
[ And later on still, she can be found in the dining hall, the same mostly-full notebook in front of her, but this time she seems to be... writing poetry? Rhyming couplets, at the least, though she seems to be having some trouble with them. ]
