WEEK 2

The first week at the castle passes without any (recent) murders. Mysteries were found, questions asked, bonds formed, and Halloween celebrated. Now as Sunday 'dawns', you might feel your mind a little lighter as your first memories fade. Will this be just a week celebrating the (questionably) best thing about October or will more sinister things be afoot?

Either way, it looks like the Alices will continue their game.

[ In that case, what's the current condition of the shelves? Are they still, uh, bloody? ]

[They sure are. Still dusty, too. Since I don't think anyone's poked around here since Allen's first foray but since Nagisa and others have been around the library since then, it's safe to say that he's already found a few other bloodstains on the shelves here.

The books are back. The shelves are, uh, not repaired, though.]

[ Actually, how damaged are the shelves themselves (themshelves)? I think Allen mostly just looked at the blood. Is it possible to get a vague idea of what went down here? ]

[Good question! The first thing is that, there's a lot more blood that it's safe to say that more than one person died here or at least were injured here. There's also some deep cuts on a few shelves.

It's not much to go on but at least two people were stabbed in some manner here.]

[ Damn. Probably not super relevant, but how high up are the shelves with the cuts? ]

[ Cool, cool. Is there anything else to note on the shelves?

If not, how many new books are there in the stacks/how much of the space do they look like they'll fill? ]

[Nope, they're clear. As an OOC note, it's probably safe to say that all this info isn't new to Nagisa or any of the library regulars at this point.

As for the new books... Since there's a lot of empty shelves and book cases, these new books wouldn't fill up an entire book case. They're also assorted. Animal biology, history, random science books, and even a couple law books for a certain von Karma.]

What condition do they look to be in from a quick glance? New, regular library wear and tear... like someone tried to clean blood off of them... ]

[Brand new. I'd say they probably sparkle but that's metaphorical, not actual sparkles.]

[Franziska had gotten up gone to breakfast, and then heard the announcement that there were nonfiction books, which is probably the best thing that had happened since they'd been brought here. She makes a beeline directly for the library and then after briefly glancing around directly to the books. Not a huge number, but this is delightful. She picks up a few and flips through them, eyes flicking over the pages to check if they were as new and perfect as they appeared to be.]

Finally there's something to do in here. I wonder.... what happened to the rest of them, though? If we have these then surely they don't object to anything but fairy tales on principle.

The ones that were originally here were damaged during whatever struggle took place here; they didn't have an objection to the books themselves.

[ Stated as fact as he opens up a book from the top of one of the stacks. ]

I wonder if these are recreations of the same books that were here before or if it's a new selection... either way, these books look new rather than like someone tried to clean them up after they were damaged. If the Cat is creating everything here, maybe she can only make so many at a time...?
