WEEK 2

[whimsicalism]

The first week at the castle passes without any (recent) murders. Mysteries were found, questions asked, bonds formed, and Halloween celebrated. Now as Sunday 'dawns', you might feel your mind a little lighter as your first memories fade. Will this be just a week celebrating the (questionably) best thing about October or will more sinister things be afoot?

Either way, it looks like the Alices will continue their game.

[Haha, Amdi already has two measuring tapes! (thx manaka.) Mizuki might see them clipped to the loops on his jackets as he trots one member forward to politely take the book in its mouth.]

That's ok, I don't need it for that.

[Great, it's a hardback! Amdi is not a total barbarian though, and sets the book down to flip through it and decide if it's too good to disassemble for parts.]

[... Cue several bamboozled doggos staring at a completely redacted text from several angles. He is. Not sure what to make of this.]

[Oh, wow, he has SO MANY places he could keep stuff. Coat afficiando and utility knife fan Mizuki is jealous. He seems to be physically handling the item well enough too. Mizuki picks the nail clippers back up.]

Yeah, that's not some language or anything, it's just weird.

[Yep, Queen Woodcarver had them made up for him based on the jackets her field engineers wore. If there is one thing you need when you have zero hands, it is MANY pockets. Also the stirrups help him climb up on his own backs, because that is definitely a normal thing that sentient creatures can do.]

[Anyway back to this weirdness.]

Did it come out of the machine like this? That's kinda dumb.

[Ah well, at least it's no harm no foul when he turns it over and starts trying to carefully tear the back cover out of the binding. JUST NORMAL EVERYDAY THINGS.]

[So she has no tears to shed at its subsequent destruction, but she is still blandly surprised.]

[A couple of him look over at her in total incomprehension.]

Huh? Why would I chew on it?

[In the meantime the ones working on the book succeed in tidily tearing off the hard back cover, and hand it off to another couple of him who have pulled a several sheaves of scribbled-upon paper out of their saddle pockets, and who are comparing the paper side-to side with the dismembered book part. Yep, this will do nicely!]

Just thought dogs love chewing things. Like shoes.

[Though... the members are obviously fairly different from normal dogs. What is even going on there, actually. Will continue looking down closely.]

But... you're writing stuff? That's pretty cool. Already got a glitter pen?

Oh, they do? I didn't know that! [This is not said in a sarcastic way, btw. He genuinely does not know much about Earth dogs.]

But yeah! I found a couple of pens in my room, and i'm using them to take notes about the castle. [He proudly shows her a couple of pages of notes with a lot of very carefully scrawled words and numbers on them.]

See? I wrote down all the vertical measurements in pink pen, and all the horizontal ones in green.

[It may be worth noting that everything on the page besides the numerals is written in some weird language that looks vaguely Scandinavian.]
