WEEK 2

The first week at the castle passes without any (recent) murders. Mysteries were found, questions asked, bonds formed, and Halloween celebrated. Now as Sunday 'dawns', you might feel your mind a little lighter as your first memories fade. Will this be just a week celebrating the (questionably) best thing about October or will more sinister things be afoot?

Either way, it looks like the Alices will continue their game.

[Does the pile of blankets removed from the bed appear to be in the shape of a be itself?]

[It might have been at one point, yes.]

[Is there anything distinctive about it, other than the number of blankets and the vague nest shape?]

[It's sort of hard to tell in the low light but there's just some actual bread crumbs all over it. They're not moldy but keep idiots from eating them, Franziska, I'm sure you can do it.]

She carefully folds the blankets she's pulled apart back over themselves over the little nest to preserve what was there until they could figure out some better way to get light in here.

Meanwhile she is going to go look at the window frame again, and see if it can be pulled away from the wall at all, and therefore if the back can be examined.]

[Unfortunately, it looks like it's on there tight.]

[Darn! In that case she is going to look through the drawers and wardrobe of the room, trying to find any clues - especially anything about the fact that two people apparently shared this room because what is that all about]

[There's not much here left, unfortunately. This area is clear unless she wants to poke something in particular.]

[Well fine then haha.

Assume she thoroughly investigates any drawers and/or containers in general for anything interesting, the bathroom door and fixtures, investigates for any other weapons either in person or as traces, and the floors for things like footprints or any wear suggesting secret compartments, before finally turning away with a sigh.]

Hm... So someone else was staying here, at least short term. I wonder if that was who attacked?

Do you think the clock might be able to tell us anything?

We could try it. Do you think we can find out who they were that way?

Maybe!

[She seems genuinely excited by the prospect, and takes Dark Dream by the hand to pull her from the room, then pauses, looking thoughtful.]

Hm, do you think one of us should stay here to watch, just in case?

[Holding hands... this is friendship! This is something friends do. She wants to keep doing it--oh.]

I guess, probably.

[She lingers a moment, not dropping her hand. This is... this is nice, somehow.]
