WEEK 2
The first week at the castle passes without any (recent) murders. Mysteries were found, questions asked, bonds formed, and Halloween celebrated. Now as Sunday 'dawns', you might feel your mind a little lighter as your first memories fade. Will this be just a week celebrating the (questionably) best thing about October or will more sinister things be afoot?
Either way, it looks like the Alices will continue their game.
Sunday | Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday
[Hello, and welcome to week 2! Don't forget to submit your memory losses here and your activity here. If you want to ask or annoy the twins you can do so here. As always, don't forget to turn your threads in for 'fabulous prizes.]

[ Pretty much any chance at plausible deniability has gone out the window at this point, but also, that poem has the name "McDuck" in it. She's still trying to get her hands on the book itself. Her face is terrified. ]
It's personal, alright?

Oh- it's yours?
[...Why does she look so scared...?]

[???
But he'll hand it over.]

Thanks. [ She holds the journal to her chest, decidedly closed, as if she still expects someone to snatch it away. ] ... How much did you see?

[ And he's seen at least bits of the beginning and the end, so she's not sure what she can convincingly lie about! This is the worst.
Lena backs up, but before getting fully out of the way, she does go for the friendship bracelet. It just feels better to have it on her. Less lonely. ]
My family is kind of the worst.

What did they do?

[ She doesn't put the bracelet on. She just sort of worries it with her fingers.
It's kind of damp, actually. But after going through everything she did with Webby the night she got the stupid thing, and not losing it off her wrist, there's no way she'd have just dropped it in the ocean later. Which means that whatever happened had to do with her. ]
My aunt, the [ there's a definite sardonic flair to this, like she's mocking someone Allen's never met without properly doing her voice ] sorceress of the shadows. A long time ago she screwed up cursing someone else and banished herself to a pocket dimension, and she's spent the last 15 years making it my problem.

Your family can do magic?

[ She really only knows what her aunt's monologued about, after all, and she's never been particularly honest with Lena. Is it a centuries-old blood feud because the De Spells and the McDucks have an ancestral rivalry, or is it just because Scrooge is like 150 or something?
It looks like she's zoning out for a second. She blinks and shakes her head. ]
Sorry. It's just weird to say any of this out loud. I spent so long covering it up, and then when I finally wanted to tell someone I couldn't talk about it.

[Anything's possible!]

Yeah, that was magic too. She was getting stronger because of the lunar eclipse, and I was just... her puppet. [ Snap out of it, Lena. She's not here. She's not here. ] And now I'm here, and she's... wherever, and they're still holding her over me.

...I'm sorry.

Huh, no wonder Alice spilled all the beans to you. You're a pretty good listener, Allen.

You think so?

Well, some people don't even go that far. The only reason they pay attention to anything is because they think they can get something out of it. So, like, don't sell yourself short?
Sorry, I'm not good at this.

It's okay, I get it now. Thank you, Lena.
