WEEK 2
The first week at the castle passes without any (recent) murders. Mysteries were found, questions asked, bonds formed, and Halloween celebrated. Now as Sunday 'dawns', you might feel your mind a little lighter as your first memories fade. Will this be just a week celebrating the (questionably) best thing about October or will more sinister things be afoot?
Either way, it looks like the Alices will continue their game.
Sunday | Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday
[Hello, and welcome to week 2! Don't forget to submit your memory losses here and your activity here. If you want to ask or annoy the twins you can do so here. As always, don't forget to turn your threads in for 'fabulous prizes.]

I think so, yeah. Like the Forest is just this entire... space? If that makes sense? Forest as a title, not a literal bunch of trees.

Hm... So essentially, the Forest is the place she created within an existing world, and we don't really know how far her power extends beyond it.

[He's been thinking about that a lot]

[CAN HAS WAY TO CONTRIBUTE?? Bites her lip at first because:]
I'm not sure how much to tell you about it because it's so highly classified, but—well, this is an emergency. As long as I don't tell you about any of the specific times it was actually used, it should be fine.
[Deep breath!]
The Psync machine is something a Psyncer uses to enter a subject's Somnium - their dreamworld. Though it can totally be a nightmareworld too. All sorts of stuff happens there like teleportation and visions. Time passes differently - you'll lose your mind in the real world if you stay there too long, and they say you only have six minutes. But Somnium time can seem to pass way slower if you're standing still. You could stay there for almost a whole day.
I think they're definitely using something different from that machine, since it's like orders of magnitude bigger than any of the Somnia we have, but maybe it's a good frame of reference?

I was in the Dream with everyone else from the facility. That's myself, Letty, Chelsy, Joshua, Stella, and Teacher.
Everyone besides me had their own World... it was like a dream that reflected their hearts and their deepest secrets. So I had to go through everyone's Worlds - everyone's hearts - to try to find the way out.

[Just making sure. Wow, whatever this was sounds stressful to say the least.]

[super video game ngl]
So it was kind of like a real dream world? I'm trying to think about the source of what we're in here. Do you think it would be dangerous to wake up too fast?
no subject
I don't think it's possible to wake up unless you find the door out. Or...
[...]
The White Rabbit said you either had to find the door, or do a different option. But he said the other option wasn't possible, so he didn't say what it was. But yes, it was like a real dream world. The Worlds that made it up were based on the experiences of the people who were inside the Dream.

[Niko's perked up a little at the mention of dreams, dreamworlds and machines -- particularly the latter, maybe because it's more in line with technology than with all the frou-frou of monsters and mages and so forth.]
And-- And they said time was weird here, right? Sakuraba-san and Allen-kun. [a glance at Allen] ... How long did you use the Somnium, Okiura-san?
no subject
[She slots her thumbs together and shrugs.]
Maybe our virtual worlds, dream or not, really are something different from the scale of Allen's place or this place. ... [lightbulb clicking] Do you think that there could be a chain of dreams in this place too? Like the other rooms Sasaki-san drew?
no subject
[There's something perhaps bashful or just a little reticent about the way she says it; maybe it's just a girl being shy? Maybe she has reservations about psyche-related technology like this. You never know.]
But that sounds pretty cool, in its own way. Almost like you're a dream reader or something! [there's a little spark in her eye, so maybe she's more reconciled with this than expected] By chain of dreams, do you mean a little like what Allen-kun was talking about? It seems to be more like the Alices' dream, but maybe there are ways we can do things to it, too?
no subject
[So if Niko is feeling shy, then Mizuki can certainly relate.]
Yeah, like Allen's description of a dream world with lots of different places. [Mizuki will feel this even more strongly after the witch's barrier trial room but that's in the future!!] But you have a point that the things here seems like all that pair's idea. So we should probably try something else.
((Sad that there can't be a dream investigation like the palace infiltration in SCP R1. Or can there.))
