WEEK 2

The first week at the castle passes without any (recent) murders. Mysteries were found, questions asked, bonds formed, and Halloween celebrated. Now as Sunday 'dawns', you might feel your mind a little lighter as your first memories fade. Will this be just a week celebrating the (questionably) best thing about October or will more sinister things be afoot?

Either way, it looks like the Alices will continue their game.

Sunday | Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday

[Hello, and welcome to week 2! Don't forget to submit your memory losses here and your activity here. If you want to ask or annoy the twins you can do so here. As always, don't forget to turn your threads in for 'fabulous prizes.]
strictura: (when it's all the stupid things)

[ Hm... Nagisa definitely doesn't trust this, and he doesn't see much appeal in the whole sleepover concept anyway, so he's not sure if he's going to stay for very long or not, but he'll at least stop by to see what's going on and who decides to show up.

He picks up some of the videos to check the titles and then looks at their respective cases, frowning. Is this trash really something they need to be watching in these circumstances? In the best case, some of them will end up more anxious than they already were about the possibility of being killed; in the worst case, something here could give someone ideas.

He sets the VHS case he's looking at back down with a sigh. ]

Doesn't this seem a little suspicious?
byzer0: (This the tale of)

[personal profile] byzer0 2020-10-15 05:02 pm (UTC)(link)
If someone like you finds this suspicious, she's really, really, sucking at this whole welcoming host thing.

[ In Natsuo's case he's poking around but that seems to be all he's interested in doing. ]
strictura: (there's no room for promotions)

[ FROWNS ]

I realize you disagree with my approach to things here, but I'm not naive, you know.

[ He wouldn't have tried to set up this whole accountability system to try to prevent getting away with murder if he didn't think it was likely that someone would do it!! ]

Anyway, after being so adamant at the beginning of the week that they'd convince someone to kill before it was over, holding any kind of event this close to the deadline feels like it must be intended as a trap of some sort.
byzer0: (Become another casuality)

[personal profile] byzer0 2020-10-15 05:55 pm (UTC)(link)
You're trusting people you barely know, that's being naive.

[ Hmm who showed up to this sleepover anyway...there's a pause where Natsuo looks around. ]

An obvious one, but there are some pretty stupid people here so she might get lucky~.
strictura: (i'm not scared)

[personal profile] strictura 2020-10-15 06:47 pm (UTC)(link)
I think I made it pretty clear to you before that it wasn't actually about trust. I'm well aware of the things people are capable of.

[ huff ]

Hopefully not, but...

[ But there are some pretty obvious easy targets around, though he feels bad thinking of them that way. ]

Maybe watching some of this junk will actually work to their benefit if it makes them more wary of what's going on around them tonight.
byzer0: (Reckless love)

[personal profile] byzer0 2020-10-15 07:21 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Potatoe, potatoh, because being in a group with someone is a matter of trust no matter how it shakes out in Natsuo's eye. ]

Banking on being the biggest scaredy-cat isn't a winning strategy. Besides, if they stay here and fall asleep they're an easy target anyway.
strictura: (all of those french films about trains)

[personal profile] strictura 2020-10-15 07:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Hence why anyone who ended up too scared to sleep could actually be at an advantage.

Don't you get it?

[Mizuki is restless in a nightgown over full-length pajamas, running her hand up and down her forearm.]

It is a trap. For the kids who aren't here.
byzer0: (𝟘 + 𝟘)

[personal profile] byzer0 2020-10-16 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
Hmm? Because they're alone? Or because they're gonna get blamed if something happens? [ Natsuo is dressed in this which could honestly half pass for a night gown, but actually isn't. ]

byzer0: (And back down)

[personal profile] byzer0 2020-10-16 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
You're gonna do that anyway to everyone who's not part of your groups. And besides, if someone's going to do something a party is a pretty decent cover unless everyone stays together all the time. [ It's very matter of factly and not as snide or sing-song as his words tend to be. ]
ballooncaged: (Deflect)

[personal profile] ballooncaged 2020-10-16 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
You think that's how it is with—Franziska?

[She says that quickly, not at all ignoring how he thinks it comes off. Then, sarcastic, bitter but directed exclusively at world/herself:]

Time to put a tripwire over the exit so nobody gets funny ideas about punch-drunk teenagers staggering home. Oh, wait.

[He was initially hesitant to talk with Nagisa, but... maybe he should get to know the other leaders better.]

It kind of is, yes, but... I love sleepovers...

Maybe we should hide the violent ones where no one can find or get them? I'm perfectly willing to use my room for that.
strictura: (that's when i knew)

[personal profile] strictura 2020-10-15 10:00 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Honestly, that hesitance is kind of mutual; Nagisa deliberately hasn't made much of an effort to interact with Seven before now, and he tenses up slightly at being approached by someone that much taller than him, despite logically knowing that he isn't a threat. ]

Ah... That's nice of you to offer, but I don't think it's necessary. Anyway, as much as I don't want anyone to find inspiration in these movies, giving everyone enough of a scare to keep them on alert toward the end of the week like this might not be the worst idea.
seventhlittlemonster: (head tilt)

[personal profile] seventhlittlemonster 2020-10-15 10:15 pm (UTC)(link)
I see, that is true... Very smart idea. [He didn't really have it in him to argue because he k n o w s Nagisa is smart.] It might be too much, but I think we should not only have someone watch who comes in and out of the room, but whoever goes out should be accompanied by three other people. If one person can kill a maximum of two people, they can't kill the third witness.

[he's. trying to help minimize casualties!! good for him but he shouldn't be thinking about stuff like this at whatever age he's at!!]

Maybe up the number of escorts to four because it'll be even more detrimental. [SEVEN NO]

strictura: (and maybe it's wise)

[personal profile] strictura 2020-10-15 10:32 pm (UTC)(link)
[ That's all fair, though he's not sure where he got this number for max kill potential... ]

That's sort of what the whole sector idea was for, actually -- having specific groups of people responsible for watching each other. That obviously didn't work as well as we hoped, but you can do it with your group, at least. I'm sure Okiura will look out for all of you, so you should do the same for her.

What's a little suspicious?
strictura: (when they know that damn well)

[personal profile] strictura 2020-10-15 10:35 pm (UTC)(link)
The Alices inviting us all to an overnight party this close to the week's deadline for-- well, death. They were awfully insistent that someone would kill this week, so it seems improbable that they'd go out of their way to do something that would steer us away from that at this point.
imozon: ([dd] Friend?)

[personal profile] imozon 2020-10-16 12:00 am (UTC)(link)
Oh... but you can't murder someone at a party, right? You'd have to do it somewhere with no witnesses.

[The world works exactly like a TV show, you see.]
strictura: (why do you do it)

[personal profile] strictura 2020-10-16 12:31 am (UTC)(link)
...It wouldn't be advisable if you were trying to get away with it, no. But presumably people will fall asleep here eventually, instead of in their locked rooms.
imozon: ([dd] What's happening)

[personal profile] imozon 2020-10-16 02:35 am (UTC)(link)
I think it would be dangerous to try something like that with so many sleeping people around, though. We might wake up.

Hm? Why should it be?
strictura: (that's when i knew)

[personal profile] strictura 2020-10-16 12:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Because they want us to kill someone by tomorrow? That's supposed to be one of their major goals at present, so it doesn't make sense that they'd do anything that would lower the chance of that occurring.
