WEEK 2

The first week at the castle passes without any (recent) murders. Mysteries were found, questions asked, bonds formed, and Halloween celebrated. Now as Sunday 'dawns', you might feel your mind a little lighter as your first memories fade. Will this be just a week celebrating the (questionably) best thing about October or will more sinister things be afoot?

Either way, it looks like the Alices will continue their game.

You don't need to stay if you don't want to be here, you know.

A lot of the others are. And so is Nagisa.

And... this is my first time watching movies with a bunch of other kids.

I don't think you can say that when you don't want to watch the movie. You can always come back when it's over, and leave now. It would be easier to read in the library, if you want. Or maybe someone would want to play a game.

[She is Trying but she is not good at this.]

And do you even like that book, if you don't like this kind of movie?

Nagisa wants me to stay close by.

I've not read many that look like that, certainly.

[She sounds slightly superior still, but very deep down there is perhaps something curious, or even wistful.]

I'm always very busy at home.

Busy with what? School?

With school, and with my studies. I can hardly let myself fall behind my little brother, after all.

['School' and 'studies' are clearly two distinct things to her mind.]

School and studies are different?

Of course. I still have to attend school, after all, but after I'm done with that I still have to study the law, if I'm to be able to practice it.

That sounds like a lot.

When do you get free times? Teacher makes sure we study and do homework, but we have free time to play, too.

I don't, really. Not much, anyway. I need to be dedicated, if I'm to prove that I'm a worthy successor of my father, after all.

So you don't get to go play with your friends after school?

[littlebratziska]

I, ah, no.

[She doesn't. really so much have friends. Or time that's not school or at least in some way educational.]

Oh.

That just sounds really tough. It's nice to take a break and spend time with the others.
