WEEK 2

The first week at the castle passes without any (recent) murders. Mysteries were found, questions asked, bonds formed, and Halloween celebrated. Now as Sunday 'dawns', you might feel your mind a little lighter as your first memories fade. Will this be just a week celebrating the (questionably) best thing about October or will more sinister things be afoot?

Either way, it looks like the Alices will continue their game.

Um... mostly surprised you got your hands on something like that in a place like this, at least for starters.

I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if the weird vending machine started spitting out pirate loot — but it's actually chocolate. See?

[ And she's just going to toss it over Violet's way! But the goal is for it to land on the table instead of forcing her to catch it midair, like Gil did, because her attention's divided as it is. ]

The chest, not so much.

[ Violet picks up the coin and examines it. ]

Chocolate coins. I suppose that does keep with the theme of this place.

Mmhmm. Who needs money when you can have toys and candy appear out of thin air, right?

Or fit a whole chest of coins in a vending machine, apparently.

[ She sighs. ]

Of all the things here, that machine might be the strangest.

Well, half the strange things are coming out of it. It's kinda like a turducken of strange.

... okay, I shouldn't be the one to explain this.

I... see.

[ Violet, being from the distant past year of 19[REDACTED], assumes that a Turducken is some manner of... perhaps an unpleasant job, where Lena comes from? ]

But yes, I agree that the vending machine is odd. If I had the right tools, I might be able to break it apart in some way, but.

[ She gestures, in general. ]

But the Alices kill people for breaking rules that don't exist.

[ She'll say it!! ]

... Are you, what, a mechanic or something?

[ Violet smiles, this being something she can and does take pride in. ]

An inventor, actually. Less useful than usual though it is, in this place.

... Yeah, I feel like if you actually could take something apart, it'd just be unicorns and stuffing inside. They haven't thought it out that far.
