Week 2 Post-Trial
[ The trial itself may have been pretty straightforward, but with how high emotional tensions were running afterward, there's probably no one feeling like organizing any kind of gathering right now.
So, go do your thing until a new week starts, and write down those memories you don't want to forget. ]

[Mizuki would have stood with her hand on the doorframe watching Niko's new zippers glint in the blinking lights no matter what. But that idea of being from a cooler future... everything fits. It makes her feel insecure, yet fascinated. She riffs, without enthusiasm.]
This GameChild thing nobody recognized came out of the machine with all the other stickers and workbooks, and it was literally loaded with, like, Shuffleboard.

Handhelds are practically antiques already, so only some dumb hipsters or middle-aged farts would be really into them anymore. It's about as in vogue as the rest of this place, though, I guess?
[The impressive thing is how she manages that spiel without once looking away from her screen or stopping her abuse on the buttons. She really is probably bashing them a little harder than needed.....]
And I've never heard of a GameChild at all. Are you sure that vending machine isn't just a big prank most of the time?

[She walks in closer to see. She guesses that it's not even a Vita which is also already dead. Still, the phrase paints a pretty picture of Niko's world, though Nagisa heard the place was ugly in other ways. Hm.]
Pretty much everything I got was junk that was better for parts, so—we both know that's pointless now. Next topic? [She tugs her finger back and forth to indicate the connection between Niko and herself.] Are you... mad at me or anything? For dragging you into our nerd LARP? I don't want to just wonder about it and be awkward.

[She snickers like they were out there having a barbecue or something.
There's still no particular movement besides what's needed for gaming as Mizuki approaches, though Niko is, miraculously, still listening over the sounds of intensifying battle and popping noises and bloodshed?? There's, finally, the raise of a small eyebrow over the screen.]
Why would I be mad about something so petty? I wouldn't have gone along with it if it weren't useful in some way. Though, actually, it turned out to be more useless than expected. [that's said quite carelessly, but matter-of-fact; there doesn't seem to be resentment here so much as dismissal] Besides, I'm a guild leader. It turned out to be a funny bit of roleplay.

...well, your taste in snacks is still pretty choice. Honestly, there aren't many slumber parties I actually get invited to. So if you talked trash behind my back—that kind of thing wouldn't surprise me. I'm just glad I can still trust you.
Like, carefully.
[God where does she even put her hands, pockets? PSPs don't have extra controllers. She's so bad at this.]
