[ The trial itself may have been pretty straightforward, but with how high emotional tensions were running afterward, there's probably no one feeling like organizing any kind of gathering right now.

So, go do your thing until a new week starts, and write down those memories you don't want to forget. ]

[ Why is Natsuo here? Answer: gremlins need to get a daily allowance of running amok in the castle, even in rooms they don't have much interest in. (It's because the movies suck and he's more of active participant in hobbies rather than a passive one). Either way, Natsuo was just walking around when he heard several distinct sounds that he recognizes: pow pows, grunts, and yelling of the fighting variety. He's spent many days and nights hearing them, as he's one of those gamers that needs to get the max score and all achievements.

And so Niko is greeted by a narrowed jade green eye peeking around the corner, ears peaked. ]

Hey, that's ours! [ He's not sure if it's theirs but it sounds like the game he's played a bunch of, so good enough. ]

... Hah??

[Niko spits it out with both distraction and disdain, though judging by the way she sits up and sets one small foot on the floor, he's not about to catch her unawares despite the fact that she hasn't looked away from the screen at all.

In fact, her expression is still a half-smirk despite it all. Possibly the game is still more important than some cat with zoomies.]

I'm not seeing any names on this thing, and whoever was messing around with it last didn't get any real impressive scores anyway. [she's totally looking down on their gaming history...... there's a flicker of her eyes towards the intruder, finally, though it's just a sardonic sort of peek] Besides, you really think anybody's going to believe you two with that track record of yours?

That's because I reset the data, I had all SSS's in time attack before. [ i have no idea wtf fighting game is in the PSP but this does make logical sense in the confines of the game. natsuo isn't put off by the disdain or the insult, because they really do everything to the 9's and he's pretty good at games! sometimes chillblains get in the way though.... either way, he walks into the room proper and moves around to get a look at the screen. ]

Should a faker really be talking about belief?

A convenient explanation with no proof! Since I have the highest scores on here, it's mine now.

[Which, considering she's the only one who's played it recently (or apparently with any verve yet), is also kind of a convenient excuse, but it's not like Niko ever claimed to be perfectly on the up-and-up. Case in point: the giggle with which she said the words, sugar with a hint of spice.

Her head tilts slightly in Natsuo's direction in lieu of anything like cat ears, subtly tracking his movements.]

Oh, I wouldn't call it faking. After all, in that case, anyone who adjusts their behavior to go along with society would be a faker all day and every day.

I just felt like test-driving this little community before I got my feet wet.

Ownership doesn't work that way. [ There's something weighted about his simple words, the tip of his tail twitching slightly. He's probably intruding on her personal bubble at this point but he's paused just short of getting all up in her business. ]

And that's still hiding who you are no matter what the reason.
