WEEK 1
WEEK ONE
This week, students at Ira Academy must return to class with their memories of the weekend hanging over them. The Principal is watching now, and he dislikes children even more than his initial draconian idea of education led everyone to believe. The rules revision is probably at the forefront of most people’s minds, along with the sinking paranoia of being monitored much more closely and more severely reprimanded for stepping out of line. This very empty academy building suddenly feels all the more claustrophobic. All students now have the option to commit murder and be freed from this school. Less than a week ago, you were teaching yourself to be friends with some of your fellow classmates. Will things remain that way, or will someone reveal themselves to be willing to take a life to escape?
But just because murder’s on the table doesn’t mean that your studies are off of it, and the Little Brothers are still here to helpfully encourage all students to complete their coursework. Despite being shepherded away at the end of the school dance announcement last night, this week the Prefect will be back for her office hours and, thankfully, less fixated on pulling off a successful weekend spelling bee and social event. Less thankfully, it seems she believes that completing your re-education as originally planned is the correct course of action. You’d do well to remember, perhaps, that right now your success reflects ultimately on her. Students who prefer to see how their fellow school denizen and prisoner-in-spirit can also sneak into the music room whenever it’s unoccupied to converse with A.
To that end, it also looks like someone’s posted a “Tutors and Study Groups” sign-up sheet on the hallway walls outside the A/V room. There are illustrated descriptions next to it, so even someone who doesn’t understand the writing should be able to glean its purpose. This seems like a good way for people who are interested in working together or helping one another with anything involved in school life. Students may make use of this resource as they will.
Finally, at the end of the hallway near the music room, a sliding wall has receded as if it was never there in the first place, revealing an unexplored area on this floor.. Hmm, what could be up there?

OOC NOTES
Welcome to Week 1! As with last week, if you have anything you’d like to investigate, you can bring mod responses in by pinging (INVESTIGATION) in your subject line. (SHEEP) for the Little Brothers. Unlike last week, Nanami can also be invited to participate in your threads with a (PREFECT) call-out. This is an option for anyone who wants non-private/event convos with her, if for some reason anyone wants to spend MORE time with her. If you are looking for information about the school’s mysteries, it's highly recommended you bring in the sheep or the mod journal instead!
Don’t forget your regains, and please submit your AC for week 0!

[Oh, you bet your non-existent tail he is.
First things first though...]
To start things off, I will admit, I am sorry about the shipping crate thing. If I'd known you would be stuck in there for six months...I might've tried to find another solution.
no subject
Yeah, who would have guessed I'd end up stuck in there for that long? [ Now that he thinks of it, he probably shouldn't have dropped the remote that controls the door, but... Well. He could never think straight when he's panicking. ] At least I made sure something could survive in there for a while...
no subject
[Oh, scolding voice is back.]
If you expect this to be any sort-instant forgiveness thing-you're even crazier than I thought. We can put things to the side for now, but I will not forgive you any time soon for what you've done to me and my family-if I ever do.
Especially depending on whatever situation we get back to once this is all over. And if I should even believe most of what you wrote on that note.
no subject
YES OKAY, GOT IT, but-
Dude! If I was lying, I wouldn't have gone into all that detail about my personal life! I even wrote everything down because I didn't think you'd listen if I admitted all that in person.
[ That, and he's still a bit uncomfortable just telling everyone, let alone someone he terrorized for an entire day. Week... And there was also the whole incident that ended with Hunter stuck in that crate in the first place... And probably how that "Spend a Day With Triple D" contest turned out...
... Yeah, he really shouldn't have expected sympathy. Even if he was telling the truth. ]

You've gone to far lengths to trick me before, how am I supposed to tell this isn't just another act?!
no subject
[ Hunter rubs at his arm. If Dylan is paying attention, he can see the moment Hunter's heart sinks into his guts. Like he'd been smacked in the feelings by a metric ton of realization. ]
I... I honestly don't know. How am I supposed to prove I'm telling the truth this time?
[ He doesn't sound sarcastic, or at least he doesn't think he does. ]
no subject
[A sigh. He notices the moment, and represses any instinct to let up on his tone.]
But. I will give you a one chance. We managed to go a week without killing each other, and at this point, I am not about to let myself-or anyone else-get killed. Not if I can help it. No matter who they are.
So I'll take your deal. We'll put everything at home to the side. I won't even say anything to the others about this.
All you'll need to do is stay out of trouble, and keep that promise about getting the police when we get home. Do you think you can handle that?
[The question is sarcastic, but he'll still wait for an answer.]
no subject
R-right. I'll try... I mean I will.
no subject
[At this point, Dylan starts slowly walking towards Hunter.]
If it turns out that, in the two months we might've been gone, Cr...she got to my family, and got what she wanted, then...it doesn't matter what you have to say, or what you could do at that point.
[Then, when he's up close and personal.]
If she got to them, I will make you regret being born.
Got it?

no subject
[Backing up now.]
Is there anything else we need to talk about, or can I go back to my room now?
no subject
[ He's wanting to ask about the thing on the note, but Dylan doesn't seem like he's in the mood to talk. ]
... Not that I can think of right this second, no.
no subject
He's already sure what the truth is anyway.]
Alright, I'm leaving then.
[He turns to leave, but stops in the doorway.]
And Hunter?
[He pauses, thinking for a moment.]
Stay safe, okay?
