WEEK 3
WEEK THREE
Two weeks, two trials, four deaths.
One thing is certain: The monster in charge of this place knows enough about everyone here that he also knows what can drive some of them desperate enough to kill. He is powerful, and he has access, and he despises the whole student body. The face of the class' captor has been revealed now, in a sense, and the flames of his hatred for children have turned out to be very real.
At least, for now, the students of Ira Academy have one another to lean on. Some might have found the post-trial camaraderie a comfort. At least everyone hasn't given up hope. At least many students are still finding their anger and their will to fight back.
There are fewer pretenses this coming week. Classes proceed as normal; the school day still functions as normal, but the further everyone comes from that first fateful meeting with the man in charge of this school, the further away and more incomprehensible the thought that there was ever really a chance of going along with the original plan, completing reeducation, and staying safe.
...Of course, you could still try. There'd be nothing stopping you.
But you won't, will you? That's just how the students of Ira Academy are. You'll visit the third floor of the Academy, ascending the newly opened flight of stairs. Maybe you'll investigate one of the new rooms, dwarfed by the echoes that bounce of the uninvitingly tall ceilings. There's probably still something in this place on your side.
Will you work together, or will you grow further apart?

OOC NOTES
Welcome to Week 3! New locations have been added and the third floor is now open for exploration. The library is a very large space and more than one person can investigate it throughout the week if you'd like. If you want to investigate one of the Floor 3 rooms, please hit the mods with a ping in Discord and put INVESTIGATE in your subject line.
As a reminder, AC runs Sunday to Sunday concurrent with these posts and is collected based on the prior week; this means you have a whole week to get in AC for the week prior. AC for week 2 should be submitted no later than this coming Sunday. Remember to submit your regains, and sign up for a spot exploring this week's mystery if you want to!

[In contrast, Dylan sounds like this might be one of the more enjoyable things he's done here. He walks to the pile of books Sonic's piled up, trying to get a look at what he's collected.]
What's the subject?
no subject
[Yeeeeeeeeeeeah.
At least they aren't the only books he's tossed out. There's also some sports books and...cookbooks. Of course.]
And heumin cookin' I guess. No one here knows how to cook except like...Jeanne.
no subject
[There goes any excitement he had. And ignoring the part about cooking...]
That's...actually a good segue for...something I wanted to talk to you about, if you're okay with it.
no subject
[May as well be at this point.]
What's up?
no subject
[A deep breath.]
I have an idea, and I want your help.
no subject
Bud, you have my undivided attention. What’s the plan, Stan?
no subject
[He taps the red and grey thing strapped to his back.]
It's something of mine from home-the Puppy Bubble Wrapper. Anything it hits gets trapped in giant plastic bubble made from bubble wrap, usually small things, but the more shots you take, the bigger the bubble. Doesn't do damage in the slightest.
I'm thinking that, in the night, we take shifts patrolling the school with this. If it looks like anyone is trying to k-...do anything dangerous, we trap them in a bubble, and keep them in there until they calm down and stop trying anything.
Does that sound good?
no subject
Yeah. Yeah! That's actually a way past awesome idea! Obviously gotta get around the sheep dudes but-yeah!
It's workable! I can do that, easy!
So when do we start?
no subject
I'm thinking maybe Tuesday night and then continuing from there. Everyone seems reasonable enough to not try anything without a motive being given, and while it does seem like there's a pattern of someone trying on Thursday nights, it's better to be prepared earlier than that, just in case someone decides to switch things up.

I think I might still study myself, if only to prepare for anyone getting hurt. It's good to be prepared, you know?

[He does deflate a little.]
Man...I guess we gotta start with body parts. I mean, I know what arms and legs and stuff are, but how'm I supposed to know if a death involves the...

The...duodenum?
[Which he pronounces as "dew oh denim".]
no subject
[Which Dylan pronounces the right way, apparently "dew-AH-dee-num"]
Well, first of all, it looks like it's part of the small intestines, so it being involved would probably something like damage to the midsection, around the stomach.
And second, maybe...that level of detail won't be necessary? All things considered, so long as we know what is and isn't damaged, I don't think we need to know the name of every bit of a human body.

So basics like limbs, chest, uh, head and neck, right? And tail. Wait, heumins don't have tails, right?
no subject
I think the only ones that have tails are myself, you, and Dewey. Not sure how much he counts, though, considering it's tail feathers.
no subject
[Right???]

[Just in case and all that.]
